The fight

Jackie's POV

I was sleeping when suddenly Manny wakes me up by shining his rays at me"Okay, okay I'm up Manny" then I stretched and got out of bed. When I stood I headed straight towards my closet and put on a navy blue jumper and brown shorts with white converses and put my brown hair in a plait then I looked at my watch and saw it was 5:30am then I headed outside to the woods. I kept walking untill I reached the heart of the forest, I stopped and saw Valerie she was a white wolf she had a smooth silky coat and ocean blue eyes and was wearing the ice collar that I gave her. She looked at me then wagged her tail then ran to me I hugged her then said"Hey Val who's a good girl? hey do you wanna go for a run?" then she got off me then went into a running position"Okay, ready, set, go!" then we started running through the woods. I felt so free then I started using my powers and started putting coats of frost on tree's that was untill I bumped into something I fell and I felt Val sniffing to see if I was okay. Then I heard a girl scream and when I looked at the person it was my sister Evaline"Wha-what a-are y-you d-doing with th-that w-wolf!?" she said with fear in her eye's"She's um my....friend" I said awkwardly then she said"What!?!?"

"She's my friend"

"You can't be friends with a wolf"

"Well then why am I friends with her!?"

"I'm just saying-"

"No your not! your forcing me to!"

"Don't talk back to me!"

"Why!"

"Ugh were going home!"she said trying to grab my arm.

"No you are!" Then I started running."Come on Val!"

Then we ran and ran untill dark sand came at me but I blocked it with ice then I heard something that sounded like a horse , Val started growling and went into attack mode but when I turned to where the sound came from and saw a black sand horse? it shot black sand at me but I dodged it and shot ice at it and it disintegrated, then remade itself. I looked at it astonished then it shot some more black sand at me and again I dodged it but then another one came out of nowhere and shot sand at me and u couldn't dodge it so I shut my eyes and waited for the impact but it never came so when I opened my eyes I saw Val on the ground with her eyes closed but she was turning black and the only parts that were white were her head which were slowly turning black. My eyes widened in shock then I yelled"NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!" then ice came out of my chest and the horses disintegrated and never came back. I collapsed to my knee's and hugged Val's corps and cried untill I heard someone behind me I looked up and saw My parents and siblings I looked at them with tears, my mom saw Valerie and covered her mouth in horror. Then my mum rushed to me and hugged me cause she was the only one who knew who Valerie was and how much she meant to me but I kept hugging Valerie's corps"I'm so sorry Val if-if I had just-"

"Honey its not your fault"

"Yes it is!"I screamed while tightening my grip on her.

My heart just broke there because I know that no matter how much they try to convince me that it wasn't my fault it was because I promised her mum I'd take care of her but I didn't........

~~~~~Flashback~~~~~~~

I was walking through the forest when I stumbled upon a mother wolf dying she had lots of cuts on her body. I quickly ran to her and started panicking "What happened!?" But before I could say anything else the mother moved her paw and I saw the cutest pup I had ever seen. Then the mother started closing her eyes and I knew what that meant.......she was gone "I promise I will protect her with my life" so I took the pup and took care of it.

" Today we are gathered here today to celebrate the life of Valerie she may not have been known to most people but she was dearest to all"I was crying into my mum but I actually couldn't cry because I had no more tears to shed when that fateful day came my heart had no emotions that could describe my feelings so basically I just made sniffing noises then when it came to my turn to go up on stage and say something I didn't need a paper or anything because everything had to be from my heart"Valerie was the most Besties friend I could have asked for even though she wasn't human I still treat her like any person would treat there friend with.......respect and all though you may not think she's here she always will be here" after I sat in my seat and the rest of it was a blur.
