The sea

Yes often I do wonder why our faults
do dive into the deep, for sea doth hide
the lies of time, but stuck in sea the salt
does sting, beneath my eyes the tears reside

The tide is calm from where I stand but past
My eyes the waves do ride, for sea knows not
Of peace or thought, and so I try to cast
My mind, and still the waves doth tie its knot

I love the sea, and yet I find this curse
The thought does haunt and I do ask why beach
is light and shines so bright, yet the water
resents this life, and thus we not do reach
out past the depth of man nor we infer

So once we search the dark for light we find
That light does not mean life for light has mind
