El Dorado

Is El Dorado really real I ask?
I yet not need an answer for I know
Atop this dream, this hunt I place a mask
On brightest dreams I do cover with snow?

No need to search is what I do decide
I know not why I should go look for dreams
Because nothing's out there out past the tide
Or so decree, for things are as they seem

And so I scoff at those with light in eyes
So dumb, naive I say to minds so bright
For logic does soon fall along demise
And left with thee is wreck and pain I say

But when they lie in El Dorado's peace
I feel the scorn from here; without release
