It all started five years ago while I was on vacation and I let my friends drag me out to a bar, and I would just like to state for the recorded that I was already over him before I even got to the bar it was completely by chance that we were there at the same time. "I can't believe I let you guys talk me into this". I said. "You'll thank us one day". Said K. "I highly doubt that but hey we did fly halfway across the country to have fun, so I'll give it a chance". "how do I look?" I asked my two best friends K and A. They take two sets back and look me up in down as I stand outside the bar in my old feather dress, knee boots and no make up. "Great" they say at the same time. "Thanks, but I highly doubt it, besides no ones going to even notice me when they see the two of you in there". I replied as we walk into the bar and I head towards the back to grab a booth while they grab drinks for themselves. I however officially voluntary to be the sober friend to keep them safe from any creepers. Five minutes later they walk over with drinks including a water for me and just as they arrive back at the table that's when he walked in to the place and I knew nothing would be the same. "Hey you good?" Asked A. "Huh oh yeah I'm fine I just thought I saw someone I knew from a really long time ago." I said nervously. "No there's totally something going on, who is it?" Asks K. "You see the really tall guy over there who just walked in with his friends?" I replied. "Yeah" they say at the same time. "Well remember back in high school I liked a guy who lived halfway around the world, but I never told you about him, well that's him." I say anxiously. "No way, so are you going to go up to him and say something." Asked A. "Oh yeah I'm just going to go up to him and be like hey I had a crush on you in high and still do, do you wanna go get coffee." I replied sarcastically. "No but you could just go see if he's interested by doing some normal flirting." Said A. "I would but it doesn't usually go well when I try, but what do I have to lose." I say. "That's the spirit now just try to get his attention by looking over at him." Said A. "I don't know what if he has a girlfriend?" I say. "Oh, come on if he had one, he wouldn't be here on a Saturday night, now would he?" Said A. "Okay fine I'll do it but if this ends badly than I officially give up" I say as I search for him in the crowd, when I finally see him I look over at him and try a bit of eye contact and I catch his eye. He looks over and I start to get up and motion for him to follow me over to an area just little away from both our friends for some common ground. When we finally reach each other, I realize just how truly tall and good looking he is, I tilt my head up to meet his eyes. "Hi, I'm D." I manage to say. "Hey I'm B." He said. "So, this is probably going to sound dumb, but I usually don't just walk up to guys and talk or attempt to talk to them, but I figure hey maybe I'm not the one who bad at talking." I say. "That's okay I'm pretty bad at this too." He says. "So, it's kind of loud in here and this is probably going to sound a lot more forward then I want it too, but would you like to get out of here and maybe go try to talk some more, you know if your friends don't mind." I ask. "Uh yeah sure, just give me one minute I'll meet you outside, if that's okay." He says. "Um yeah I need to check in on someone anyway, but I'll meet you right out there, okay." I say as I turn around to walk back over to my friends. "Hey so I'm going to go hang out with him for a while but if you need anything call me but don't worry I'll be careful." I say as I wait for a response. "Girl trust us you'll be just fine with him wrapped around you, and completely uninterrupted." Says A. "Okay but you too be careful and promise me you'll get back safe and together." I say. "Promise' they say at the same time as we laugh and hug goodbye. Then I turn around and walk towards the exit. As I step out onto the street I see him there leaned up against the wall and walk towards him. "So, do you wanna go for a walk" I ask. "Sure" he replies. We start walking down the street. "So, are you from around here?" He asks. "Um no I'm from Canada actually, I'm just here on vacation with a couple of friends for a couple of weeks." I say. "I figured you weren't from around here I just wasn't sure where you were from and didn't want to make any assumptions." He says. "Yeah well that's refreshing, I feel like my whole life I've never been treat unjudged by a man, never really given a chance you know." I say. He looks over at me and says, "Yeah I know exactly what you mean". "Can I ask you something?" He says. "Yeah, anything." I say. "Why is it that you seem so comfortable around me, I usually don't get approached unless......" "Unless what." I say. "Never mind it's not important." He says. "You know I don't care." I say. "What does that mean exactly?" he asks. "I don't care that you do what it is that you do, that's not why I couldn't get over you or even why I couldn't help but approach you, I came up to you tonight because I happen to really care about the person behind the camera, even if it sounds weird." "I just can't help but feel happy when I see you, it's like everything else just melts away." "And I am sorry, not that I like you but that I knew who you were before tonight and that for that reason I will never be able to...." I say as I slowly walk away up the street. But before I get to far there he is right next to me our faces cm's apart and he says this. "You'll never get to what, touch me, use me, break me...." He says. "Love you" I say before kissing him quickly and then just as quickly running up the street and wait for just seconds outside my hotel as I hear him running up the street behind me.
