(note: I did not write more about the Bount Arc. I personally felt it would take FOREVER to write about incidences of a filler arc, SO we're doing a little bit of a past glance before moving on into the Arrancar War. So sit back and enjoy some of the past chemistry and history between Byakuya and Hisana Kusonarii.)
Before any of this chaos started, before any death or murderous sprees had occurred within the soul society, there was so much peace. The Soul Society seemed so different back then....

"Lord Kuchiki. The Kusonarii Clan is here."
"Ah, thank you Gyozu, bring them in." Ginrei Kuchiki smiled softly, sipping his tea.
My parents waltzed in, bringing me in tow. "Hisana, aren't you going to say hello to Grandpa Ginrei?" My mother looked back at me with a smile.
Our families were rather close, and my father and Byakuya's grandfather had been close since he was a child and Byakuya's father was a child. Byakuya's parents both died when he was young at the hands of a hollow, so Ginrei took care of him.
"Byakuya. Come here."
"Yes Grandpa?" He looked up at him. "The Kusonarii family is here to visit us."
"Where's Hisana then?" He looked over and saw me, shyly poking my head out from behind my mother's shoulder. "Hisana, come on. It's me, Byakuya! You know me."
"Why don't you and Byakuya go play together sweetie?" My mother smiled, nudging me forward. I slowly walked out towards Byakuya, and he and I walked off to play in the back garden.
Meanwhile, my parents were discussing important things with Ginrei.
"Have you two came to a conclusion on my request for the family merger?"
My father nodded. "Yes. We will accept your proposal, Ginrei. Once Hisana and Byakuya are of age, they shall marry to intermerge the families."
"You know she will be a Kuchiki then? That will lead the Kusonarii clan with no heirs."
"Well.." My mother blushed slightly. "I haven't said anything yet, but I'm expecting.. another girl."
"Still, no heirs. You need a male heir to properly continue the lineage."
She sighed. "Well, Hisana could still lead the family, Ginrei. It just couldn't be dissolved then."

Byakuya put a flower in my hair. "You're pretty. I always hear my grandpa talking about how sweet you are. I can see why." He smiled softly. "Hisa-Chan." I blushed a little bit. "Bya-Kun.."
We sat nearby the pond in the garden. "My mom's going to have another kid soon. I guess I'm going to be a big sister."
"You don't say?" Byakuya looked down. "i wish I had siblings. I never got to really know what it's like. And.. they're putting me into the soul society tomorrow."
"What?"
"I have a zanpoktou. I have powers. I heard you might be going in too. Squad 5 possibly."
"I know I have power, Bya-Kun. But I have no idea if I even have a zanpoktou, yet. All I know is our family has a heirloom sword that's passed down. I've never seen my father use it. He's the current captain of Squad 5. Shinji Hirako is the Lieutenant, and Sousuke Aizen is the 3rd seat. That's all I know."
"Someday, Hisana... I hope we get married."
A darker blush spread across my cheeks. "Me too."
Byakuya smiled with a blush, and before he could say anything else, Ginrei called us in.

"Byakuya, Hisana. You two are old enough to know this now. But, when you both are 18, we want you two to marry."
A blush spread across both of our cheeks. "What?"
"You heard me."
A silence filled the room. Whereas we did want to marry one another, we wanted it to be at the right time. We didn't like how we were being forced to be married. Byakuya walked out of the room, seeming angered.
"Byakuya!" Ginrei followed after him.
"We will come visit some other time." My father smiled and bowed as we left, thanking the maids of the Kuchiki manor for Ginrei's hospitality.
"Alright Ayame, I have a Captain's meeting to go to. The lieutenants are all going to be there as well. I'll see you soon."
Little did we know, after the Captain's meeting, my father would be administered into Squad 4 from a severe wound. The rank of Captain would have to be handed down to Shinji Hirako, the lieutenant, and Souske Aizen got bumped up to Lieutenant.
This was only the beginning of the end of the Kusonarii Clan. Well, as a whole.
