While silently making their way through the hallways, the two princesses moved as quietly as possible, navigating what seemed to be Electronica's lair. They were carefully following the trail Finn had left behind: a trail of water that had seeped into the floor from his unconscious body after being forcibly removed from the water tank. The further they went, the more they could feel the tension rising as they encountered several armed guards, some of whom they had to take down with force while carefully sneaking past others.
"The trail leads right here," Bonnibel whispered, her voice steady as she examined the ground where both water and light blue blood—likely from Finn's wounds—marked their path. "Keep an eye out, Candy One. There are probably more guards hiding somewhere in this hallway," Flame Princess warned, her voice low as she crouched behind a wall and peeked around the corner. Several electric guards were walking down the hall in the opposite direction. The two princesses held their breath, waiting for the last of the guards to disappear, and when they finally did, it was their chance to move on without being spotted.
"Let's go," Flame Princess muttered, and the two girls continued down the hallway, staying as quiet as possible while following the trail of water and blood.
As they moved, Flame Princess couldn't help but feel her anger growing with every glance at the blood staining the floor. Bonnibel was equally upset, though she was able to snap out of her thoughts when she felt the intense heat radiating from Flame Princess. Before she could speak, Flame Princess cried out, "Over there!"
Turning her attention to what Flame Princess had spotted, Bonnibel's eyes landed on a solid steel door, under which Finn's trail slipped through. Flame Princess's hands began to glow with intense heat as her eyes turned as red as blood. She had already decided—she was going to melt straight through that door and surprise Electronica. But before she could act, Princess Bubblegum shouted, "Wait, Phoebe!"
Flame Princess turned toward her with a sharp glare. "What?!" she snapped, the anger in her voice clear.
"We should think of another way," Bonnibel said calmly, trying to keep the situation under control. "Blowing down the door with your powers might have serious consequences. If you do that, Electronica could eliminate Finn even faster."
Flame Princess's fiery hands slowly extinguished as she stood still, her hands on her hips. "Fine. What do you suppose we do?" she asked through gritted teeth, her gaze fixed on the Candy Princess.
"We need to find another way inside," Princess Bubblegum stated, her eyes scanning the hallway for an alternative. But before she could continue, her attention was caught by a large group of guards heading their way.
"Uh oh!" Bonnibel gasped. Flame Princess stepped forward, her hands flaring with fire, and immediately began launching fireballs at the oncoming guards.
"Find a way into that room, now!" Flame Princess yelled, her voice urgent. Bonnibel began to search the corridors frantically for any other way into the room. As she did, she found a ventilation system that could be their ticket inside. But just as she reached for it, she was electrocuted from behind by one of the guards.
Princess Bubblegum screamed in pain, and Flame Princess's heart lurched. Without hesitation, Flame Princess darted back into the corridor, eliminating one of the guards who was about to strike at Bonnibel. However, more guards quickly surrounded them from every direction, leaving the princesses trapped.
"Let's find another way in the room... Great idea, Bonnibel!" Flame Princess hissed sarcastically, frustration building in her voice.
Princess Bubblegum snapped back, "I thought we were doing fine, how could we have been spotted?"
