Starstuck 2

New girl

Jessica's Pov,
The school bell finally rung signaling it was lunch, I left the math block and walked through A,B and C block before walking into the living hell known as the cafeteria, unfortunately my maths teacher made us stay in for and extra seven minutes due to a mixted group of girls and boys messing around, I hate when that happens because I end up right in the middle of the cue, Mr stone is the worst teacher to be at the front of the cue telling students when they can go in, he only lets practically five people in at a time, he's just paranoid that someone will get injured and sue the school. And to top it all of my best and only friend Freya left to go on some exchange student program in Italy. Great.....

I finally got to the front of the cue when my phone rung I looked at the caller ID and saw it was chris, i felt bad for declining but I'll call him back when I get out of here.
"Umm excuse me" I heard someone say from behind me as I picked up a ham baguette,cookie,bag of crisps and a bottle of strawberry flavoured water
I turned around saw a girl my age she had long slightly frizzy brown hair with purple tips and a tan complexion which was accompanied with a strong Australian accent.
"Yes" I said not entirely sure what to say
"Hi do you think you could show me to the principals office I'm new here" she rambled on
"Sure just let me pay for these and I'll show you" I replied smiling walking over to the tills
I payed and began walking to the office
"So what's your name" I asked trying to avoid awkward silence
"Abigail but you can call me gabs" she said offering a warm smile
"Oh and I'm from Australia" she said referring to her accent
"Yeah I guessed" I said sarcastically as we both laughed
I walked through student reception and led her to a door labelled Mr keys,
"Soooo do you think we could be friends" Abigail said hopefully
"Sure my best friend went on exchange to Italy so I'm gonna need one" I said laughing
"Oh I'm sorry" she replied sincerely
"It's fine I can wait outside here for you I've got to call someone back anyway" I said sitting down on the small table and chairs outside the room
"Wish me luck" she said flashing me a smile before she disappeared into the room

Chris' Pov,
I tried phoning Jessica but she declined, huh that's weird, I thought pushing it aside and throwing myself onto my sofa watching the new X-Factor show,
Twenty minutes later,
I decided to try calling jess again, the phone rung untill she answered catching me off guard since it had only been twenty minutes
"Hey what's up? I was just about to call you" she asked
"Nothing, just wanted to see how you were" I replied
"Well I'm good, sorry I didn't answer the phone earlier I was In the cafeteria, loud and noisy" she sighed
"Hey it'll get better" I said comfortingly
"I hope so... Anyway how are you?"Jess said changing the subject
"I'm good to, listen I have to go my managers calling me, be ready for tonight" I said
"Ok love you" she replied
"love you to bye" I said hanging up
