This is probably my only chance to get those electronic parts I need. After this I will be able to finish my work, all I have to do is to pull this stunt off.

I look down at a nest and see five eggs. The man said that he only needed three, but if I find extras, he would gladly give me ten silver pieces each. I open the zipper on my bag and reach for one egg at a time, one, two, three and twenty silver pieces, now I just have to get the hell out of here. I start moving my legs faster and faster. I know it can smell me from a long distance, so I keep running. There is nothing fun about angry moms.

I hear rumbling far behind me and it's getting closer. Mommy is angry. The ground below me is shaking, the hunt has begun! Without turning my head around, I know she is there, right behind me. I can almost feel her breath upon my spine. The animal's four legs are stomping the ground leaving deep footprints in the greyish mud. I need to get rid of her somehow.

In a blink of an eye, I see an opportunity ahead. There is a crack under a large and thick root that has germinated in a bend. It's enough space for a human to fit under the root, but with the size of a direhorn it's impossible to fit under or jump over. I increase the speed a little before I lie down and slide under the root. I slow down a little, totally worn out by the running, and then I stop. This must work, or else I am finished. With heavy breathing I turn around and find the direhorn on the other side of the root.

Trees and other huge roots are blocking it's path. It will take some time for the direhorn to walk around. This is my chance to get away. I turn around and start running slowly. I have them, I feel the eggs moving around in my bag. I pray that all five of them made it out alive and without cracks. In my head I ask myself, was this really worth it? Sacrificing my own life for the last pieces of electronics I need to finish my life biggest dream? Quickly after am I able to answer my own question,

"Yes, it was."
