Cameron walked down the spiral stair case to the main floor of the house all while contemplating what to say to Ana when she arrived. He topped off his drink and sat on the living room bar stool. She was pissed and he knew it, he had a bad habit of running his mouth, especially at the worst times. He backed the last of the drink and popped a mint,if she knew it would make her even angrier, but hey, everyone had their vices. He threw on some shoes and walked outside to wait by the door. If he knew his girlfriend at all, he knew her temper was fragile, it was best to confront her upfront.

He smiled just thinking about her, she was loving ,happy, sweet ,funny, everything about her was perfect to him. But her reaction to things like this was so dependent on her mood it was like a gamble. Especially since their last falling out, things hadn't been great, and he knew he had a problem but he just couldn't seem to stop, not even for her.

A taxi soon pulled in to their driveway and she stepped out of the car. He could see that her round brown eyes were filled with hatred when she saw him and her cheeks were flushed with a light pink colour. He couldn't help but smile to himself, but not a happy smile, more of a grim one. He loved her so much, and watching her look at him with so much hidden fear not even her eyes could conceal broke him a little more each time. She was all he had ever wanted, beautiful, sexy, he even loved her habit of being a tease. She was so sensual yet the moment she went to work her professionality and intelligence shone through, she was truly sophisticated. But what he loved most was her eyes, they proved yet again how Her emotions always showed no matter how hard she tried, he loved how when he said he loved her she couldn't help but smile, a smile that made her small dimple show and her eyes light up. He adored those eyes who looked at him with love and compassion, even when no one else would, but now that love had glazed over and been replaced with cold and bitter hatred. He had no words to express how he felt, and how sorry he was about putting her through this, he knew she would be better off alone, yet he was selfish enough to never want her to go.

He could make out a couple of Spanish swears she was mumbling in between each step, until there she stood in front of him looking up into his eyes furiously. "Is that how you feel?!" she started yelling "ARE YOU TIERD OF ME? I MEAN ENOUGH TIME TOGETHER? WHAT DOSE THAT EVEN MEAN!" Cameron knew he was in the wrong here, but he had a habit of being defensive, and he had a selective memory. "Wait wait wait come here," he said annoyed as Ana tried to push him aside but he grabbed a hold of her wrist roughly before meeting the eyes of his now nervous girlfriend."Im sorry." He said quickly letting go. she just nodded. "I really do want to talk about whats wrong. baby I'm sorry, i didn't mean it." Small tears rolled down the sides of her face. "Why did you get so worked up? You should be happy right now, Taylor's here. And you know Alex doesn't mean half of what he says." he said sympathetically " I'm sorry. I'm fine. it's ok" she apologized for being so aggressive. She looked back up to him as cam slowly wiped the tears from her cheeks. "Better?" he asked "better." she replied. He picked her up from the waist and she held on to him tightly. This was the usual for them, healthy or not, that was their reality.

. . .

After the couple had reconciled they had gone inside their house and began to prepare for their guests. Ana headed to the kitchen to start cooking and Cameron fixed the house up one last time. The door bell rang after a while. "I'll get it." Cameron smiled, and Ana nodded from behind the counter. Taylor was at the door with Alex and Sam. Alex had fixed his curly brown hair to a semi descent mess and his green eyes were hiding guilt over what had happened earlier though he smiled at his host. Sam's newly died silver hair shone with the light, he cared way to much about his appearance and way to little about his personality. He handed some coolers to Cameron smiling. "Come on in." Cam welcomed the three guests. Letting go of her shopping bags Taylor slipped off her shoes. "The house looks great, you guys really fixed it up since we were last here!" she looked around amazed. She picked up some of her bags and walked to Ana. "Here's a little pick me up." she whispered smiling. "Where should i leave them?" "Thank you." Ana smiled at her.

Ana rinsed her hands in the sink putting the last thing into the oven and walked to hug everyone. "You okay?" Alex whispered as he hugged her. she nodded and smiled, "sorry" he mouthed as she walked to greet Sam. "Hey Cam!" Taylor hugged Cameron tightly. They had been good friends since the moment Shawn introduced him to her. "Hey Swift." He grinned and took their coats to the nearby closet. There was another knock at the door, this time Ana answered it. A tall man picks her up into a tight embrace. "Pen Thief!" He exclaimed joyfully. He put her down and her face lit up with absolute joy. "NATHAN!" Nathan was Ana's old college best friend. They had been through all of those crazy times together and it had seemed like years not just one but several since they last saw one another. "How have you been!" she smiled hugging him again letting him in. Taylor stood there awkwardly looking at Nate. The history between them was bad, it had been almost 2 years since they broke up but it felt fresh every time she saw him. They managed to overlook their differences for the sake of Ana's friendship, but it was still awkward, they didn't tend to speak often and this was the first time they had seen each other since their last get together.

Nate continued to smile at Ana and ignore everyone else, almost as if they were wrapped up into their own little world "everything's been good" They continued talking for a bit longer before Cameron stepped in to say hello. Ana slowly took a couple steps away from him. "Hate the whole big hugs and kisses thing. Even if you are Latina." Cam mumbled to Ana as they walked to the kitchen for drinks "Jealous much?" She smiled condescendingly as she carried some back out to everyone getting reacquainted.
