Chapter 21: Turn Back The Pendulum ii (Idol)

A week later, my mother and I were visiting my father in the Squad 4 recovery wing.

"Shinji's doing great work handling the squad in my place. I think I might just hand it all over to him."

I about gasped. "B-But father.."

"Hisana, once you get older, you may get the squad. Squad 5 is suppose to belong to the Kusonarii Clan after all."

"What about Mom?"

"Mom doesn't want it."

"But..."

"No buts, Hisana." Father sighed. "Now run along, Shinji and Lieutenant Aizen may need your help with stuff."

I sighed, walking off.

Ironically, as I was turning the corner to head to the 5th division, I bumped directly into Aizen.

"Hey! Watch it!" I looked up. "L-Lieutenant Aizen!"

He chuckled, helping me up. "Now, now. Relax Hisana. I didn't mean to scare you!"

He held onto my hand a little longer than I expected, causing me to blush.

"M-My father was sending me over to Squad 5.. do you and the C-Captain need my help with anything?" I was expected to follow Aizen's orders, since I was the 3rd seat now. "I'm pretty sure that he's gonna need some help cleaning up the squad hall. No ones been really in it lately, but it's gotten quite dusty. Come along with me, Hisana."

Following Aizen from a slight distance, I glanced over at the distant horizon as we walked closer and closer to Squad 5. It was beautiful, like a painted picture really because it all seemed so surreal.
Aizen opened the door. "Captain Hirako?"

No answer.
"Hm, he must have stepped out." Aizen smiled, taking a broom and sweeping up the mess hall. I helped by cleaning the walls and dusting the windowsills.

"Hisana, can I ask you something?"

"Hm? What is it Lieutenant Aizen?"
"Have you ever wanted something in your life to change?"
"Well.. on some circumstances, yes. Some, no."
"I really hope to be a captain someday. Maybe even greater than that. I want to attain so much power.. but.. there's something else I want too."

"What is that?"
He dropped the broom, and walked over to me. "I want to love you."

A darkened blush spread across my cheeks.

"W-What?!"

"Hisana Kusonarii. From the first time I saw you, I just knew there was something about you that set you apart from the other women. You're so beautiful. You're so sweet. And.. I want to love you."

My face got even redder. I didn't know what to do. Nor I have ever dated anyone before. I was told not to since I'd anyways be married to Byakuya when I was older.
"Lieutenant.. I.."
instantly, before I could say anything else, he kissed me, deeply.
Even thought I wasn't sure about my feelings for Aizen, the kiss felt right.
He moved his tongue in a little, and ours intertwined. I felt on fire. I didn't understand what was going on.
I broke apart the kiss on my own.
"Something wrong, Hisana?"
"Lieutenant, I'm quite flattered and all.. but.. I'm arranged to be married when I'm of age. To Byakuya Kuchiki. I'm a noblewoman, I must uphold the law. And, I also really love Byakuya. You, are my superior officer. I can't be doing things like this with you. It would tarnish my family name, reputation, AND the Kuchiki name and reputation. I will not allow it." I left the squad five messhall without hesitating.

As I was making my way back to the Seritei, I bumped into Captain Hirako.
"Captain!"
"Ah, third seat Kusonarii. What are you doing over this way?"
"Head back home, sir."
"Did you go over and help clean up the mess hall?"
"Yes, but about that sir... when I tried to help the Lieutenant, he... kinda forced himself upon me a little bit.." 
Captain Hirako turned and sighed, grumbling as he stomped off, apparently pissed. "DAMN IT SOUSKE!"
I could hear Captain Hirako screaming at Lieutenant Aizen from a mile away.
"DAMN IT SOUSKE, HISANA IS A NOBLEWOMAN! DO YOU KNOW WHAT KIND OF CHARGES YOU'LL GET IF YOU HURT HER? OR IF YOU'RE CAUGHT WITH HER BY THE ROYAL POLICE?! SHE'S GOING TO BE MARRIED TO A KUCHIKI! SOUSKE, DO NOT DO THIS TO HER EVER AGAIN!"
Better get yelled at...
I thought to myself as I kept walking back home.
