That plane ride home had been, awkward. Yes the two, John Laurens and Alexander Hamilton, The newly wed couple had, had sexual intercourse a few hours ago, boy was it amazing leaving the two wanting more, but alas they couldn't. It didn't help at all that technically they were cheating since Alex had been engaged to another woman at the time, Elizabeth Schuyler, but isn't it the other way around? Since Alexander is married to John and he engaged to someone else? Such thoughts could make a person head hurt for a few days, that person being,
"I DON'T UNDERSTAND!" Hercules Mulligan shouted at his friend, John, as John, Lafayette and himself were on their way to John's apartment whilst Alexander had left to his own.
"What's there to not understand? We had sex.." John mumbled the last part driving in their rented car.
"Okay but that's not you to be bold bold to even make the first move.." Lafayette said agreeing with his boyfriend, though he couldn't be beyond prouder.
"Well.. He's my husband isn't he?" John asked with a smirk.
"THAT'S MY BOY!" Laf shouted as Hercules lowered the music.
"But there's a part of you that regrets it."
John's smirk faded as he gripped the steering wheel, of course there is, of course there will be. One drunken mistake led to an entire marriage in which Alexander didn't even want which led to a few more things, but still, if he didn't want this, why would Alexander allow the sex to happen?
"I-I'm not sure.." He ended up saying starting to park at his apartment complex.
"What do you mean you aren't sure?" Lafayette asked hopping out of the car.
"You've liked him for so long so how could you possibly regret anything you did with him??"
"It's not that simple Laf.. Though he never talks to me about her Eliza is still a woman in his life, a woman he was planning to marry.. This..act ruined the possibility of that marriage ever happening.." John replied grabbing his things walking inside the building as the two boys staggered behind.
"But it opened up a possibility for you two.. A relationship for the two of you.. Is that chance something you'd never take because of Eliza?"
John bit back his tongue, he wasn't really sure how to reply to that question. Of course he loves Alexander, more than himself, loves him in ways a best friend shouldn't love another best friend; however with that well known fact, John would always care about Alexander before himself no matter what the circumstances, Now isn't the time to be selfish.
"Yes.."
