Only You ( Vampire knight x Reader)

Chapter One

                                                                                        (Y/n) POV

                   As I walked down the stone path way of Cross Academy, I noticed that I was being starred at, 'Tch, Idiots. Don't they know it's rude to stare' I thought to myself. I continued my way to the Headmasters Office. Once I reached my destination I realized that none other that Yuki Cross ,the spoiled brat the Kaname favors, followed me. "May I help you?" I asked coldly to her. "Well, I just wanted to tell you that I was meant for Kaname not you."  She annoyingly stated. She continued to blab about being "perfect" for him. I was honestly at my limit and about to puke. Goodness, can she get anymore annoying? As soon as I thought of it Kaname entered the halls following us as well. "Oh, Kaname-kun!! I didn't see you!" she screeched. "Can you both just leave please I have important business with the headmaster." I stated annoyed. " Why are you so grumpy?" Yuki asked in a fake voice. I turned and glared at her. "hmm, I don't know. Maybe because I'm ANNOYED WITH YOU" I yelled at her furiously. Her face became shocked. Then tears formed into  her eyes and she looked at Kaname. "S-she yelled at m-me!!"  Kaname starred blankly before looking at me and saying " Why did you shout at her?" I then lost my temper and stated "Well maybe if she could stop acting so childish and act her age we wouldn't have problems. Now take your pet and leave me be." After that, I simply walked away and went to the headmaster. " Headmaster, I have an important matter to speak to you about." I stated as I entered the room. I looked at him and to the boy with white hair whom I've never seen before. "Who are you?" I asked politely. He just looked away from me and told the Headmaster that he was leaving and jumped out of the window. "oh hello (y/n) how are you?" 

"I would be fine, if not for your spoiled daughter."

"Ah, yes yuki is quiet the charm."

"Well, I must disagree with you but that's not why I'm here."

"Well, what brings you?"

"I'm supposed to marry Kaname because of our parents but I am wishing to decline and replace myself with your horrid daughter."

"and why would you make such request?" 

I sighed. I honestly didn't know why but I couldn't handle the way she talked about Kaname. She spoke about him like a girl who truly loved him but she doesn't know him like I do.  In all honesty though, they are more compatible. Headmaster was staring at me waiting for my answer. *sigh* " They are more compatible. Seeing that they even each other out. You see, Kaname is Practically an emotionless corpse walking. Yuki is full of energy....and herself." I mumbled the last part so her couldn't hear me. He began thinking about it, and from what I could tell he was ready to agree. "Well, you do have a point. I guess I have to-" Headmaster was interrupted by none other than Kaname him self. "Hello headmaster." Kaname said with no facial expression. 'ugh this idiot again?!' I thought to myself annoyedly. Headmaster beamed and look at him smiling. " Kaname!! I have some exciting news for you!! You and Yuki are going to be betrothed!! Isn't this exciting?!" Headmaster squealing like a high school girl. One word. OUCH!! I mean come on!! Your a grown man and you act like a high school girl?! There is some serious issues there. After that whole episode, Kaname looked very displeased. I don't get why though. Did I do something wrong? He glanced at me the decided to say something. "I apologize headmaster, but I can not marry your daughter. I am already betrothed." Headmaster was not too happy. He looked at me then to Kaname. "but why?! I thought you loved Yuki!!" Kaname looked as though he was contemplating on what to say next. He finally decided on what to say and he looked rather serious. "Headmaster, I apologize for the confusion. I only see Yuki as a younger sister.  I am happily betrothed to-" He stopped speaking and walked up to me and pulled me into his chest. "-(Y/n) (L/N)." At that point I was speechless. Kaname was actually sincere. Should I reconsider him? Sadly, I didn't have enough time to think because Yuki came into the room Throwing the biggest tantrum in recorded history. "But Kaname-sama!! You're supposed to belong to me!! why?! She isn't worthy of you!! I am!!" She proclaimed furiously. 'Ugh I am so done with this.' I looked at Yuki and gave her one of my deadliest glares. "So what that makes you worthy? To proclaim such lies? You know what headmaster your Daughter isn't fit to be by Kaname's side. I terminate my offer." I walked out of the room not even waiting for a response. I left the building and made my way back to the moon dormitory. Once I returned to the dorm I was greeted by Ruka. " Hello Miss, How was your discussion with Headmaster?" 

"With complete honesty Ruka it was a complete and utter mess." I sighed out while rubbing my temples.  "Would you like me to get you something to drink?" She asked with concern laced in her voice. I smiled, happy to know that my bestfriend was worried about me. "Yes please and stop with the formalities please? Kaname isn't here and you are my closet friend." I smiled at her. She was a very compassionate women once you got to know her. She smiled and left to the kitchen. I made my way to my room and changed into comfortable clothes. Those were a pair of leggings and a loose knitted Sweater. I heard a gentle knock on my door after slipping on my sweater. "Come in." I heard the door open and close. I looked up expecting Ruka but instead it was kaname and he didn't look pleased. "May I help you?" 

"Care to explain the whole "New engagement arrangement" idea you offered to Yuki and the Headmaster?" He asked a little aggressively. I looked at him with a bored  expression while saying "Oh, that? Well that is very simple. You and your beloved Yuki are a perfect match. So why try and make you unhappy with me?" I stated with a bitter voice. He looked at me with amusement gleaming in his eyes. "So is this way of you saying that your are jealous?" He purred out to me. I looked at him with flustered cheeks. "O-of course not! I am not going be the source of you unhappiness that's all!" I stated embarrassedly. "Well then I would request staying in this engagement because I am perfectly happy." He stated with a serious expression. I looked at him with astonishment. ' He was happy with me?' I sat there in front of him getting lost into my own thoughts. I was pulled out of my illusion when I heard a deep chuckle erupt from him. "You are too much sometimes. You do realize thinking out loud can get you into trouble and other situations, right?" I became even more flustered as I looked at him. "S-shut up!" Soon the door opened again and Ruka walked in. "(Y/n) I brought you-oh am I interrupting lord kaname?" Kaname looked at me and smirked. "No you weren't I was just leaving." He then walked out without saying anything. Ruka then looked at me with a smirk. "So what was that about?" After explaining everything she was having trouble holding in her laughter. "Oh my god!! That's hilarious!!" She giggled trying not to laugh. "Haha, very funny. he still confuses me though. He makes me feel as though I'm not enough but then does this? Ugh" I sighed while rubbing my temple.  This is going to turn into something bad, I can feel it.
