Chapter 5

POV: Nicholas Felez

'Lion. I'm coming for you.' I hold this thought in my head, afraid to let it go.

“Alright. I know someone who might be able to help. We'll travel at night. Lets take all the guild members back to Fairy Tail and then we should get rest. Meet in the guild lobby at 12:00. Don't be late.” And with that Erza walks away, and out of the Colosseum.

“I thought we were taking the guild members back.” An essence of aggravation emanates from Aryan and I can't help but to chuckle.

“Lets just hurry up.” I say trying to negate any positivity I've shown during a time like this. We walk from our spot in the stands to start carrying the guild members.

“How does she expect us to do this?! Carrying them one by one won't get us anywhere.” Aryan's complaints fill the arena.

“Use your head.” I demonstrate what I mean. “Ring of Frost: Frozen Trails!” I throw my hands to the ground which quickly ices over. “I've frozen a path from here directly to Fairy Tail. We can just slide everyone down.” My words show no enthusiasm, and honestly, I don't think they're supposed to right now.

“Your so negative. Yeah we should be serious, but lighten up for more than 2 seconds.”

“Your the one that keeps complaining!”

“Just follow my lead.” He molds his hands together, “Ice Make: Bobsled!” A frozen caravan appears. “Lets race to see who can bring the most people back!”

I can't fight the smile. How can he be so positive? “Fine.”

“Lets start...,” he pauses and looks at his empty wrist as if pretending to check the time. “Now!”

We align the motionless bodies on the floor in the commons area of the guild house. “Alright. That was fun, but I think I need some time alone to process a few things.” I start to walk up the stairs to the dorms.

“Speaking of that,” I turn to see his face, puzzled as if his facial expression was coded, “why are you so upset? I get that we kinda lost 95% of the guild right now but... You seem a lot more tied to this than most would be.”

I turn back away from him and stand still. “I don't think I'm gonna tell you. After all, we kind of just met.” My words bounce off of the walls of the commons area. Admittedly, my voice sounded harsh, but it was supposed to. “I'll see you and Erza at midnight.” I leave without looking at him again. My head is down covering my eyes from anyone who might be here, despite the fact that anyone who actually might be here is unconscious and behind me.

Hours pass and midnight is just 60 minutes away. Were making a move tonight, I'm just clueless as to what we are doing, where we are going, who were are getting, etc. Erza said we should trust her, but its hard to trust when the world you knew was just a paper machet encasing.

I decide to leave my dorm and head outside for a walk before I'm supposed to meet up. I grab my rings: Ring of Waves, Ring of Frost, and Ring of Gusts, and head out. As I walk down the stairs, I hope to be greeted with the lively faces of Mira, and Laxus, and Cana, and Natsu, and...Lion. But, instead, I only see the shambles of my imagination, ripped, torn, and scattered around. The heart of Fairy Tail is cold and sleeping right now, and who knows for how long?
