The Downfall of Henry Hart

[Henry's POV]

"You're gonna continue to be my sidekick, but people will just know who you are." Ray said.

"Isn't that dangerous?" I asked.

"It can be, but I know you can protect yourself."

"Thanks Ray, I'm so sorry." I said.

"Kid, don't blame yourself."

"I should've been more careful!"
"Kid! How much more careful could you have been? For YEARS you've been keeping this secret, of course it's gonna be revealed. But you ARE NOT quitting as my sidekick."

"Thanks Ray. I'm gonna go back to school. Let me change."

"Go like that."

"Huh?"
"Go like that. Be proud of what you have done for years now that everyone knows. Encourage it. I'll come with you."

"I don't know."

"Lets go. Now." Ray said as he dragged me back to school. I walked into the school with my mask in my hand.I walked into my classroom where Charlotte and Jasper were confused at what's happening. They ran up to me.

"Henry! What are you doing?" Charlotte whisper-yelled.

"It was Captain Man's idea." I said. "He told me to be proud of what I have done for years now that everyone knows."

"How does everyone know?" Jasper asked.

"First of all, Piper stopped Captain Man and I on the street while we were headed to the Pancake Factory-"

"Pancake Factory? Do you mean the Swellview Pancake Factory?!" Jasper asked.

"Yeah, I do. What OTHER pancake factory?" I said.

"My mom works there!"

"I figured that out. Anyway," I continued, "When Piper was live streaming, she tore my mask off. She had ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND VIEWERS! Captain Man told me to just leave my mask with Piper. Then, when we got to the Pancake Factory, the news was there, and they zoomed in on my face. When I was escorting Jasper's mom out of the factory she yelled 'HENRY HART?' I was like, yeah, let's go."

"Okay, so, R-Captain Man just let you expose yourself?"

"Yes I did." Ray said.

"Wow! You're Captain Man!" A girl in my class named Rebecca said and walked up to us. She turned to me. "Henry?"

"Oh, here we go." I said.

"Everyone look! Henry REALLY IS Kid Danger!" She shouted. "Thanks for everything you do." She said.

"No problem," I replied.

Everyone began to run over and thank me and Captain Man and ask for selfies. This wasn't as bad as I thought. I thought people weren't gonna like me, but turns out, they love me! People began to ask what it was like being a superhero, what a normal day was like, how I got the job, and more.

"HEY HEY HEY EVERYONE!" Melvin yelled.

"What do you want, Melvin?" I asked.

"Why does EVERYONE think that this is COOL?" He asked. "Henry LIED to us fro YEARS saying he wasn't Kid Danger! He LIED to us!"

"You know what," Jessica said, "Melvin's right."

"Thank you!" Melvin said.

"Everyone DOES think this is cool!" Jessica finished.

"WHAT?" Melvin yelled.

Everyone continued cheering.

RING RING! Our teacher's phone began to ring. "Everyone quiet!" She yelled.

"Hello?"

"Can you send Henry Hart to the office immediately?" The principal projected through the phone.

"Uh, sure." Our teacher said and ended the call. "Henry, you heard."

"Yes ma'am," I said and headed out the room. As I walked through the hallways I was getting stared at in disbelief. I put my mask back on before heading into the office.

"You called for me?" I asked.

"Why is Kid Danger here? Didn't we ask to see Henry Hart?" The principal (Mr. Troy) asked our vice principal (Mr. Garington). I took off my mask.

"Whaaaa! Hey look at this!" Mr. Garington yelled. "The kid is Kid Danger!" Mr. Troy looked and so did everyone else in the office.

"Thank you for protecting Swellview with Captain Man." Mr. Troy thanked and shook my hand.

"No problem." I said.

"Your family is outside, they said they needed to talk to you." Mr. Troy told me.

"Yeah, okay. Thanks." I said as I walked out of the building.

My mom turned to look at me and gasped and tapped my dad. "Honey, look!"

"Holy fried pickles!" My dad yelled.

"I TOLD YOU!" Said Piper.

"Henry, why didn't you tell us?" My mom asked.
