Chapter 1, My journey

There I lay still on one of the hospital beds, not moving a muscle. You would be thinking I'm dead right now, But this is how this all started.

One day I went to school feeling rather edgy, not feeling right in other worlds. I could barley walk and my mouth stuttering. I told my friends how I was feeling they tried to get me to the school nurse but I wouldn't budge. Anyway as my maths lesson carried on I picked up my book to hand to the teacher and I stopped breathing and fell to the floor. My teacher (Mrs.Minnie) came rushing and yelped "Esmay, Esy, wake up" my eyes were shut still and I could only hear here say Esmay ringing in my ears.

I woke up in a blur and the sirens were going off and a big van known as an ambulance was right in front of me. I fell back asleep in uncontinouce of what just happened. As I lay there lying in a hospital bed, I woke up slowly and was really confused of what just happened, so I quietly said "what's going on" as I tried falling back to sleep again, a nurse replied "how are you feeling? Any headaches or feeling a little bit ill?" she said softly touching my back, I replied "I'm feeling like a vomit bomb and what's wrong with me?" "I'm sorry to say this Esmay but I cannot keep the truth from u, water was building up in your head at school which made you stop breathing and faint, but when we stopped that water going in your head, more water started building up in you lungs. I'm also afraid to say that you have cancer". My face was in fear when I saw it, I was worried. All these questions piped up in my head thinking 'Am I going to live or die?'

I sat up on the bed as I saw my mum walk into the room, she had some food with her but I wasn't really hungry at the time, I felt like I was just going to throw up all over her, which sounds gross but that's what I was feeling at that time. Mum sighed and muttered to herself. She all of a sudden fell into tears. I looked at her thinking what's wrong, I was really confused and I forgot what the nurse had said.
