The One And Only Part

The room was empty. Completely. The room knew no ceiling or walls. The room seemed to extend out forever. The room knew no color, sound, or shadow. Just a flat, blank room with just a floor that extends until it becomes nothing but a white blur. With a pop, she appears. She hit the ground with a thud and the impact seemed to shake the whole room. She felt no pain. The room knew no oxygen or air, but she breathed with ease.

Things never happen.

When she hit the ground, she laid there for a while, but her first instinct was to stand up and start walking. She did so. She walked mindlessly on this empty plane until she saw something growing in the distance. The first sight of color appeared in her view. Red. A button. A red button. The button seemed to almost glow. The color mezmorized her. She extended her hand and touched her fingertips to the button. Not pressing it. She hesitated. She pushes down on the button and slowly releases her fingers from it.

Things never happen.

A roaring voice came from everywhere. The voice made her spine tingle and her whole body vibrate. "You are in a Heaven Room." the voice roared, "A Heaven Room is a room made of complete light energy. Each Heaven Room has nothing in it but a red button. Every time the button is pressed, whom who pressed it gets whatever they want in that moment."

Things never happen.

She pauses. She hesitates with her fingertips on the button. Forest. She presses the button. A forest seemed to grow from the button into the blank horizon. Ocean. The forest disintegrated and water poured from tiny clouds above and sand puffs up, creating an island to stand on so she wouldn't drown. Desert. The island sinks and the water drains into the floor and little cacti pop in the sand. Memories. The sand disappears and everything seems to grow in a greenish glow. She walks in the endless abyss that is her memories. She walks up to the closest memory and steps through it.

Things never happen.

A figure with a slim body and no name nor face was standing in front of her. She approaches it. It turns around to reveal big white eyes and a mouth that is mostly spikes. It blinks at her. It starts yelling in a gibberish language. It waved its slim arms in the air wildly. She stepped away from it, but it only got closer. When she began to run, it ran after her and began to glitch out. The yells became distorted. Louder. It tripped, exploding into a million tiny pixels that spread like an infection in the floor. She ran. No button.

"Desert!" she screamed. The floor was puffed with sand. No cacti, no glitches. Just endless sand. She walked. Hours passed. She grew tired, hungry, and especially thirsty. She screamed to the sky for food and water. Nothing. She kept walking. Hours passed.

Things never happen.

She finally saw something. A water well. She ran as fast as she could to it. She took the bucket and tied it to the rope and reeled it down the well. Reeling. Hours passed. Still reeling. Hours passed. She became tired. The handle snapped and the entire thing collapsed. She almost fell in. There was a faint splash in the well. She looked down the well. It rumbled. She stepped back. The well exploded with a black ink. She was soaked with the ink. She ran. Hours passed.

Things never happen.

She saw something again. A water tower. She slowly walked to it, almost limping. There was a tap at the bottom and a plastic bucket right under it. She tried to turn the knob. It was stuck. It broke off. The faucet erupted with tar. She ran.

Things never happen.

What seemed like only minutes later, she found a lake. She rushed to it. She collapsed right in front of it. She put her fingers in it and it burned like acid. She fell back in pain and got up and ran. She ran, passing by water sources. Trees. Buckets. Faucets. She ignored them.

Things never happen.

She came to the edge of the world. She couldn't see the bottom. She looked out. Something pushed her. Falling. Falling forever. Hours passed.

Things never happen.

Splash. She fell into a pool. Not acid. Not ink. No tar. Water. Pure water. She got out of the water to see the button again. She approached it.

Things never happen.

"I wish this would end." she said. She pressed the button.

Things are happening.

Everything went black. It ended.

Things happen.
