Chapter 7

"Damn Michael,You have no hope do?" I say with a laugh

"I'm sorry Grace, its just facts. Have you not herd about Lia yet?" Michael turns around and faces me.

"No."

He sighs and turns to Drew, and whispers in her ear.

"Tell her! I don't care" Drew says throwing her hands up into the air.

He again turn to me and sighs.

"Lia is Calums sister" He starts "And at one of the parties, Luke was being Luke and starting trying to get her into bed. Lia, like the whore she is, obviously agrees and they head up to the bedroom and fuck. It turns out that it was all a bet, between Dylan and Luke. Dylan bet Luke a hundred dollars that he couldn't get her into bed by an hour, but he did. Calum eventually finds out and confronts Luke. Calum and Luke get into a fight and Luke breaks Calums nose. And as if she was nothing, like I said, He threw her away. There are rumors that they are still secretly fucking." He says as he turns around laughing.

My phone starts to ring.

"Who's that" asks Michael with a smirk on his face.

Drew nudges him "Stop being a dick"

He puts up his hands "I'm just telling the truth."

I look down to my phone and see that Luke is calling. I'm not is the mood to talk to him right now, not in the mood to talk to anyone really. I push ignore.

After a few minutes of watching 'Tremors', my phones again rings with Luke's name on the front. Giving in, I answer.

"Hello?" I say.

"Why did you ignore me?" He says. I get up off of my bed and step into the hallway.

"Sorry Luke, just didn't feel like talking right now"

"I thought you had a good time. What did I do?" He asks afraid

"Luke" I laugh "I had a great time. I'm just tired" I lie.

"Oh" he says sounding relieved. "Well don't let me hold you back."

"From what" I ask

"Sleeping Grace."

"Oh" I say

"Call me later?" Luke asks

"Maybe" I say teasing. With that I hang up and head back inside.

I head back inside and go to sleep to get ready for the next day.

Running, I'm running away from him. Running away from his lies. Running away from his abuse.

Trees flying by me as I'm running away from Caleb. Limbs swatting at my face as I keep going. The grass still wet from the April rain. Slippery. One foot in front of another, unsure of my destination, I sprint forward.

"Stop trying to fight it baby girl, it will be okay" Caleb's voice cuts though me like knives. A hand grabs and shakes me.

"Grace wake up. Please wake up princess!" I hear Luke's voice. His hand shaking me awake. My eyes bolt open.

*LUKES POV*

I'm half asleep with her still on my mind when my phone buzzes on the table beside me.

Drew's name on my phone I answer.

"Luke please come here please! Please get here quick, shes screaming your name." Drew says through the line.

"What? Whats wrong Drew?" I say

"Its Grace. Just get here quick." with that the line breaks.

I grab my keys and run out to my car. Drew's words running though my head 'shes screaming your name'. What in the world could possibly be wrong with her. Why would she be screaming my name?

I screech to a stop when I'm at her dorm. Get out of the car and run to her door.

"Luke!" I hear Grace from inside the room. I pound my fist onto the door waiting for Drew to open. The door opens and I take a step inside.

Grace is in her bed, moaning and rolling.

"Wake her up Luke" Drew says

I walk over to her bed and shake her. She moans loudly. I again shake her until her eyes bolt open. She quickly sits up and look at me. Her eyes start to water and she wraps her arms around my neck.

Her skin damp with sweat against mine. I wrap my arm around her and hold her tight.

"Luke" She says into my shoulder.

She holds on tighter and starts to cry.

"Whats wrong princess?" I ask worried of her response.

"Caleb was trying to-" is all she gets out.

I hug her tighter now knowing what has happened. After a few minutes of me holding her in my arms, she falls back to sleep. I start to get up, but before I do, she grabs my hand.

"Stay." she says

I lay down beside her and pull her onto my chest, and again, she falls asleep. Stay she said. She told me to Stay. Her breathing lightens with each passing

minute. I feel her heart beat. This isn't like anything I have ever felt before. Im actually wanted. I'm wanted by Grace. I lose myself in my thoughts and fall asleep myself.
