Darkness Falls

(Y/N) POV -18 yr old
They see that when you're dying your life flashes before your eyes. That's saying is true even for a blind man. As I am lying here on this cold floor after saving Yang yet again I'm seeing everything that I've done. So let's start from the beginning shall we.

Flashback
7 yr old (Y/N)
7 yr old yang
5 yr old Ruby
Pain, sorrow, misery, rage, and darkness. The best adjectives that can be used to describe my life living with Taiyang Xio Long.

It all started last year after Yang found a picture of our mother Raven, we decided we would go out into the woods to find her. Ruby wanted to come along as well and yang also wanted to bring Ruby as well, but I warned against it to keep Ruby safe. After I gave my warning I realized these two are gonna be inseparable one day. After putting Ruby in a wagon, because she was so young we knew she wouldn't be walking a lot, we went into the woods to begin our search for our mother. We made it to the woods and we did find something, just not what we were looking for.
(Y/N): Yang be careful! I don't like these woods.
Yang: I am!
After my warning to Yang about being careful I heard a growling. I looked over the young surprised because it was really loud. She was giving me the same surprise look, we then turn our heads toward Ruby who is fast asleep. I turned my head around so fast I nearly gave myself whiplash, just in time to see glowing red eyes staring at us from the darkness of the house that we were in front of. Those red eyes pounced out towards Yang, Ruby, and I. My older brother instincts kicked in and push the two of them out-of-the-way. But in doing so the monster sliced my eyes because it was trying to eat Yang and Ruby. After my eyes have been cut by the creatures, claws I lay there on the grassy ground screaming and flailing in pain. The next thing I knew I heard a sickening splatter of what I knew to be a liquid. I fear the worst thinking that Yang and Ruby were just torn to pieces because I wasn't fast enough to save them. But my fears were not necessary, because my uncle Qrow came in and saved us.
Yang: Uncle Qrow help (Y/N) he is hurt!
I felt myself being moved into a carrying position
Qrow: Kid, hold on I will get you out of here! Yang take Ruby home quickly and tell Tau to meet me at the hospital.
The last thing I heard was yang calling my name before I fell asleep.

Qrow POV
Oh Oum. How am I going to explain this to Summer? She gave up being a hunter after barely surviving her last mission so this kind of stuff. I have to run faster than ever before.

Timeskip 30 minutes
I cant believe I ran straight for 30 minutes. I barge into the hospital screaming like a maniac.
Qrow: I need a Doctor RIGHT NOW! My nephew is bleeding out badly!
Doctor: What happened?
Qrow: I found him and his sisters walking in the woods alone and he was attacked by a Grimm. Can you help him?
Doctor: I will do my best.

3rd POV
Yang and Ruby have arrived at their house to see that their parents are coming to look for them.
Yang: Mommy, Daddy we have to go! (Y/N) is hurt bad.
Summer is in shock and near tears, whereas Tai almost has a relieved look.
Summer: Where is he? Did Qrow take him?
Yang: Yes he did. Please hurry
Everyone, except for Tai, was hurrying to the car. When they got in and buckled up Tai started the car and was driving the speed limit. Which had Summer conceded because she could see he wasn't all that concerned.
Summer: Tai could you drive faster?! Our little angel could be hurt or worse!
Tai: Some loss that would be.
He muttered under his breath
Summer: What did you say?
She asked knowing exactly what he said
Tai: It would be a loss if he was hurt
Summer looked at him while he just focused on the road, not showing any real concern. This eyes said they were glad. While the face said he was worried. Yang was silently crying while blaming herself for this. Ruby was worried, as well as Summer who was 5 seconds away from speeding her way to the hospital.

Time skip 10 minutes
The family arrived at the hospital and everyone, except Tai, bolted to the check in.
Summer: whereismysonisheok-
Employee: ma'am slow down and enunciate.
Summer: Where is my son?! Is he ok?!
Employee: What is his name?
Summer: (Y/N) Rose
Employee: Hmm there is no (Y/N) Rose on file.
Summer was confused
Summer: Try (Y/N) Branwen
Employee: give me one moment...ah yes he is in surgery right now, he has been there for 40 minutes now. A Qrow Branwen brought him in
Qrow: Summer
He said in a sad tone. Summer turned to him quickly and saw his expression. It was a face that had nothing good to say.
Summer: Qrow? What happened to my angel? Is he ok?
Qrow:Summer...I...I didn't get to him fast enough. He is alive...but the Grimm got him bad. He can't see anymore. Somehow he unlocked his aura. Thankfully he didn't bleed out, his eyes look normal, there is some scarring.
Tai: So what? He nearly got our daughters killed! He is a worthless thing that isnt even my son!
Yang:where's brother?
Tai: Yang grab Ruby we are going home!
Yang: But-
Tai: Don't back talk me! Get her and lets go!
Summer: It's ok Yang. Take Ruby and go home. I'll tell Tai to tell you when he is awake so you can talk.
Tai: No you won't. You call and you will get the same pain that boy will feel for the rest of his life. Or if you dont call he will get to live
He whispered with venom in his voice. Summer was visibly shaking.
Summer: If you hurt him-
Tai: You will do what? We will leave the car here. I called a taxi.
Doctor: Mrs. Rose?
Summer: Yes?
Doctor: Your son can now be seen. He is awake.
Summer followed the doctor to see her son, who will soon be rewarded with pain.
