Two months later, Luka visits Marinette as usual. He realizes it has been a while since his last visit. He smiles as he rings the doorbell at her place. He rings it a second time just to assure himself nothing is wrong, nothing at all. He gets no response. He kicks the door down.
Marinette hears this large crash sound as the door falls. She looks at it in amazement. She thinks, waits, who did this? When I find them, I so going to kick their butt.
"Okay, whoever you are, there better be a good reason for all this!" Marinette stands there with her hands on her hips.
"Hey, Marinette!"
"Luka, what are you doing?" Marinette is furious. She can not believe the nerve of him.
"I just came to see you."
"Yes, I can see that clearly. Mind explaining, why you just broke my door?" Marinette ask.
"I did ring the doorbell twice, but you did not answer." Luka remarks.
"Awe, how sweet, you worry about me!" Marinette says with a hint of sarcasm.
" What kind of friend would I be, if I did not?"
"Correction, not friend, you are my new best friend!" She beams.
"I am?"
"Yes, do not be so surprised, Luka."
"Oh, and to what mind I add, do I own this honor?"
" You are the only one who even still bothers to talk to me, let alone come to visit anymore," Marinette says.
" Wow, that is sad, then," Luka fake pouts.
"Haha!" Marinette giggles for the first time in years.
"What? Did you just laugh Marinette?" Luka asks.
"I most certainly did not," Marinette tries to deny it.
"Oh, yeah! Try to deny it all you wish, but I still believe that was a laugh."
"Fine, you caught me, I did laugh," She rolls her eyeballs at him.
"Marinette, come on! Do not be mad."
"Oh, and just why not?" Marinette scoffs.
"It will ruin your nice complexion," Luka blurts out.
"What? My nice complexion!" Marinette blushes.
"Wow, take a look in the mirror!" Luka tells her.
"Wh-whatever f-for Luka?" Marinette mutters.
" Marinette, just take a look, will ya?"
"Fine!" Marinette goes over to the mirror. She gasps when she sees how red her face is today.
"Why, Luka Couffaine! You are so cruel! "
"Come, on Marinette! You are adorable."
"Whatever!" She smiles just the same.
"Whoa, I might faint!" Luka says. He pretends to be in a mega shock mood.
"What is with you lately?"
"Nothing, nothing at all," Luka responds. He smirks.
"Wipe that stupid smirk off your face right now." Marinette sticks her tongue out.
"No, way, Bluenette."
"Fine, you asked for it!" Marinette tells him. She gets out a duster and tickles his feet with it.
"Marinette, that is ticklickish."
"Oh, yeah."
"Yeah!"
Juleka takes a video of them and posts it on social media. She adds the tag Marinette and her new best friend to it.
