A Normal Life

Chapter 1

Hi I'm Alex Tanner nice to meet you. I'm eighteen years old and I go to a private school called Moonlight Academy High School. Honestly, it's a pretty weird name for a school, but I don't mind. I came to this school when I moved from San Diego to San Francisco a year ago. I moved here because of my dad's job.

Pretty much it's only my dad and I. My mom died when I was born, so I didn't really get to hangout with my mom. Oh and also what's weird about it is that I haven't cried at all yet throughout my life. Well now it's time to talk about my outside life.

Ever since I came to this school I only had a couple of friends, but don't worry you'll meet them along the way of my story. To be honest though, my days are pretty normal. They're usually the same routine everyday. Well you see, my friends and I really try not to stand out because we really don't want drama at all in our lives. Plus we try to stay out of trouble.

Oh, and I'm not your typical girl. I'm not into boys, dating, dances, shopping, and all that stuff. Oh, and especially romance. I don't need those things. I'm pretty much the opposite. I like sports, I'm a bookworm, and I like to sing...but nobody knows that. Well pretty much I guess the easiest way to say it is that I'm not a diva nor am I a popular.

I actually hate them with all my guts. Same with my friends, we all hate them. Speaking of friends let me tell you all about them. They all have great personalities. Their names are Selena, AJ, CJ, Noah, Katherine, and Lilly.

Selena is very competitive and is a gymnast, AJ is a bookworm and she loves to dance, CJ is smart and plays volleyball, Noah is really cool ...just don't get on her bad side, Katherine is crazy in a good way and she also loves to sing, and last is Lilly. Lilly is a bit on the short side, but she's stronger than she looks.

Oh, and one more thing I forgot to tell you. My friends and I are not normal. We have wings plus powers. Selena has the power of teleportation, AJ the power of strength, CJ the power to control people's mind and to read them, Noah power of invisibility, Katherine the power of shapeshifting, Lilly the power to turn her body into a weapon, and me the power of the four elements:earth, water, fire, and air. We also have great fighting skills.

My friends and I try to act normal when we're around people because we don't want to get caught. We haven't even told our parents about it. The only time we use our powers is when we really need them. Sometimes we just use them for fun, but only once and a while. My friends and I are always wondering if there's anybody else like us.

Well there you have it. Pretty much I have a secret life. Now that you've met my friends and I, we can now continue with my story. I do hope something changed in my life. Something that'll make me happy...
