When Lee got back to LA, it was 7 in the morning. She called Joe but it went straight to voicemail. She called Noah, nothing. She decided to walk to the donut place a few blocks away. She ordered 2 donuts and got a Coke to go with them. After she had been eating for a few minutes some one said, "Is this seat taken?" She looked up and saw Noah. "Hey. How did you get here?" "We have share locations on. And I Ubered. I left mom, dad, and Chloe a note. So, what's up?"
Lee told him everything that happened. "They were horrible Noah. They made me feel so bad about what happened. It made me think about getting an abortion and just getting everything over and done with." "I know you Lee. You aren't gonna get an abortion. You have been against it since day one. And you know I would gladly step in if Finn changes his mind. But it seems like he isn't gonna." "Thanks Noah." Lee said.
About and hour later Joe called her and she told him what was going on. He came and picked them up. "What the hell are you doing back here? You weren't supposed to be back until Thursday." "Well, something came up." And for the second time that day Lee told the story of the horrific dinner. "Fuck them." Joe said. "Like dead ass, nobody talks to my sister that way. That is so rude it just makes me want to scream." "Well, on the bright side, I found out that I'm starting to show a bit." "WHAT!" Joe and Noah said. "I'll show you when we get home. Now focus on the road.
"Holy shit Lee!" Noah said. "I know right." Lee said. "That's awesome." Joe said. "That's my niece slash nephew in there." "This is crazy!" "I know," said Lee.. They heard a knock on the door. Joe looked through the peep hole, "Are we mad at Finn?" "Um no why?" "Because he is outside." "What the hell?" Lee said walking over to the door. Sure enough, there on her front patio, stood Finn. She opened the door and stepped outside, closing the door behind her.
"What are you doing here?" she asked him. "I came to be with you." "Why?" "Listen, my parents have never acted like that before. And I have no idea why they did but please on let this affect they way you think of me. And especially don't let it change that you want me to be the legal guardian of this baby." Lee hugged him, "Never." she said. "Great." said Finn. "Well then, I'm gonna go unpack my shit at Noah's house. Tell him to come with me." "Okay." said Lee. When the 2 boys where about to leave Lee ran out and hugged them both. "I love you guys." "LOve you too." they both said. "In a platonic way." added Noah. The teens laughed at his joke and parted ways.
For thee rest of the day, Lee wrote music. She already knew what her next EP was gonna be about. And she couldn't wait to get started on it.
