"Indigo you don't even have to be so mean all the time, I know you love him. Just tell him."
Indigo was my best friend. She always was by my side when things went left. We have a connection that seems so unreal sometimes. I find it funny how she's willing to be my friend because most girls in Baton Rouge don't like me. They only liked me when it came to my brother Jaydis, and Indigo was obsessed with him.
"I'm not telling your brother how I feel about him when he come home, that's final Jayda." Indigo said digging in her bag of chips.
"Fine, but you do have to tell him about the abortion. Or I will."
"Really Jayda? You supposed to be my friend why would you do that!?" She said hopping of the bed.
"Because Indigo he's my brother! You're my friend! I know how my brother feels about things, you don't. If Jaydis knew he could have had a baby he would be happy, you only aborted him or her because he doesn't want to be with you and that says a lot about you! Why couldn't you just keep it! I could've been a aunt right now. But no, you had to be a naive bitch all because Jaydis doesn't wanna be with you." I pleaded with tears escaping my eyes.
I love Indigo she's like my sister, but when she makes poor decisions that also play with my feelings I get down her back.
I sat down on the bed, scrolling on my phone. Not really looking at the pictures on Instagram. Just scrolling to calm my temper.
Me and Indigo remained silent after what I told her. She seemed surprised but I don't know why. I'm always willing to be real with her, even if it hurts her feelings.
"So are you gonna stay?" I asked Indigo.
"Yea Jayda." Indigo said looking out the window.
Indigo came over early this morning to my mama house to help us welcome Jaydis home. My brother did 5 years due to a situation that he didn't even do, he just was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
"Jayda come help me set up the front room" My mom said bursting in my room.
My mom was always there for her kids. Me, Jaydis, and Treyon. Trey is only 2 years older than me and Jaydis. Him and Jaydis do business together, main reason why Jaydis locked up.
"Look who all grown up." Trey said when he saw me.
"Wassup Trey."
"Wassup Jayda. You been doing good, how school going sis?"
"Smooth. I been graduated." I said rolling my eyes at Trey.
Don't get me wrong I love my brother, but he makes such dumb decisions. He never supports me but he supports Jaydis a lot. Maybe because he do everything he tell him too. Like a dumb ass.
"I know you graduated, and I'm sorry I couldn't make it, but I did get you something-s." Trey said putting emphasis on the s.
"Yeah blood? What you got me?" I said smiling from ear to ear.
"Oh so now you wanna smile. You ain't shit." Trey said laughing trying to walk off.
I grabbed his arm turning him around.
"Stop playing man what I get for graduating? Mama ain't get me none, Jaydis locked up, I felt like I just was doing all that for nothing." I said folding my arms.
"Doing all what? School? School ain't never for nothing even if you don't get no congratulations from nobody." Trey said digging in his pockets.
"But look, I got you this ring because as my sister, you made me proud. I'm proud of you, don't lose this either cause it cost me a fortune my nigga. I got you some more stuff too, but let's see how the day go first."
