Hey guys! This is my first story, so I would like to apologize in advance for any errors. I'm trying my best here. Hope you enjoy!

Skylar's POV
The first day of senior year is almost over and I could not be more excited. Only 179 days left to go until I graduate. Graduation is the only thing I am looking forward to this year, because that means I finally get to leave all the bad memories from this city behind and never look back. I started out the day with English, a free period, and psychology. But now I'm currently on my way to my last class of the day, math.

As I walk in, I can see that the teacher has already given us assigned seats. I look for my name on one of the tables and see that I sit in the back corner, perfect! I look at the other names at the table and see that my best friend, Michelle, also sits at the same table. She must have gotten switched to this class because when we compared our schedules before we didn't have the same class. The other name I see is Chloe. I know there isn't a Chloe in my grade, so she must have been younger. Well, this should be interesting.

I was the first person in the room, so I watched everyone that came in and made mental comments such as: dislike, hate you, no, I need to leave, etc. Not only am I in a class where I hate the subject matter, but I'm in a classroom filled with a bunch of people I hate. Then Michelle walked in and my bad mood was instantly lifted.

See the thing is, Michelle is one of the only people I like in this entire city. Yes, I have other friends but Michelle has stuck by me through all the awful things I've been through. I've never had a friend like her and I have never been so grateful for someone such as her. As cliche as it sounds, it's true. I would like to think I know everything about her, because she knows everything about me, well almost everything.

You could see the excitement radiating off of Michelle once she realized we were sitting next to each other. I think I caught a hint of realization on my teachers face, indicating that he thinks he made a mistake of putting us by one another.

"I thought we weren't in the same class." Michelle said.

"That's what I thought too. There must have been a schedule change or something." I reply back.

"Well I'm not complaining." Michelle laughed.

"Just wait until class starts and we start doing work. We will see if your'e 'not complaining' then." I retort.

Michelle scoffs and says, "Well at least I get better grades."

I roll my eyes in response. I know she's right, but that doesn't mean I want to admit it.

Michelle finally moves to sit across from me at the table and just before we could get into a good conversation, a girl sits down next to me. I assume that this would be Chloe. She starts to take out a notebook and pencil, so I take this time to take a good look at her. She has long red hair, bright blue eyes, and shes wearing a pretty casual outfit. Michelle is trying to keep our conversation going, but I'm too distracted now. I keep mumbling nonsense here and there just to make sure Michelle thinks I'm listening, but I keep stealing side glances of Chloe and I can't help but want to know more about her. I've only known of her for a couple minutes now, but I have a feeling that that won't matter.

"Shit" I think, "I'm in trouble."

That was the first chapter! I hope you guys enjoyed it as much as I liked writing it. I know it's short, but I'm testing this whole writing thing out. The chapters will get longer as we get deeper into the story. This story will be mostly written in Skylar's point of view and I'll explain why later on. Chapter 2 will be out soon enough!! Thank you for reading!
