Something I wish i have...
Jasmine walks down the hall with Xavier by her side. All the nurses that pass by them threw Jasmine glares constantly and others just smiles friendly at Xavier. Some bashed their eyelashes at him, making Jasmine’s grew red in fury but she tries to keep calm, because this was hospital ground, not a fighting ring. Xavier turns to the side to see Jasmine biting her bottom lip nervously and it brings a smile to his face. He grabbed her hand to stop them in the middle of the hall where all the nurses stopped and pretends to do something to just glare at the couple.
“What?” Jasmine meets his dark eyes that sparkled at hers with happiness. The nurses let out an exaggerated exhale filled with jealousy.
Xavier holds both of her hands in the middle of them and leans over to give her a peck on her red cheeks, “this is my department now Mrs. Alien.” He pulls out and winked.
Jasmines nodded and let’s go of his hand, so he can enter his department, “good luck with your operation today.” She let’s his hands slip out of hers slowly. As soon as the double doors closed behind him, Jasmine felt all the daggers thrown at her with nurses standing behind her drilling holes through her white coat. Jasmine clenches the hem of her white coat and started taking her first step towards her department when she heard a husky voice call out to her.
“Jasmine Santiago!” Jasmine turns around to see Xavier jog up to her with a big smile on his face.
“Don’t I get a good bye kiss?” He pouts, making Jasmine laugh at his cuteness. Didn’t he see all the nurses wanting to kill her already? But who cares about them, he’s mine, Jasmine thought. She takes his hand up to her lips and pecks it gently.
“There’s your good luck kiss like you did to me.” She sticks out her tongue and he licks his bottom lip, wiggling his eyebrows.
“You know I’m going to bite that tongue, if you keep doing that.” Xavier tests her,
Jasmine winks and pushes her husband back into his department, “go ahead, I’m not scared.” She dares.
“You need to have confidence.” Christine assured Jaden and he nodded firmly sitting by Jerry’s bedside.
“Are you sure it’s one shot this time?” Jerry joked but Jaden ignores the patient and concentrates on the needle in his hand with a frightened look. He has stopped all the parties to study every night.
“Get loose.” Christine looks at Jaden taking several deep breaths. Jaden looks back to meet Christine’s eyes and nodded. “You might want to draw blood at the median cubital vein.” Christine directs and Jaden runs his finger on Jerry’s inner part of the forearm. Then, he pats it and starts to push the needle up Jerry’s arm in a smooth and fast motion.
“Wow! That feels much better!” Jerry wriggled out his arm and gave Jaden a thumb up. Jaden turns around to give Christine a big hug; she froze and pats his back with a slight laugh.
“I did it! Thank you!” Xavier walks by the patients’ room and saw his two interns helping each other brining a smile up to his rosy lips. This was what people call team work, and Jaden has finally learned the first step to it. He walks pass another room to see Lillian writing her patient’s record down before checking his heartbeat. He was about to move on to the next room seeing that she was good at work, but the patient caresses her hand on his chest.
“Can you feel my heart?” He smirks and Lillian shyly smiles,
“It’s beating really fast.” She answers flirtatiously and tries to pull her hand away, but he just grips it right there on his chest. Xavier shakes his head and walks into the room.
