Getting to know you

Aurora

A week of working with Draco had passed and i was getting much better at spells and slowly getting to know him.  I woke up getting ready to get to transfiguration when a slytherin boy I had seen before approached me

"Hi I don't know if we've really met before but I'm Clayton Moore I'm in slytherin. I just wanted to know if you would sit with me in the dining hall today?" He said

I found this super weird

Clayton was cute but not really my type he had short black hair and an evil sort of look so I don't know why I would be invited to sit with him but being the nice person I am I obviously said yes.

At dinner I go to sit with Clayton but I can feel Draco's eyes piercing into me. He looks very upset. He's also looking at Clayton who is touching my arm and complementing me. Draco gets up and storms out of the dining hall.

"I wanted to say that I've seen you in class and you're actually very focused I'm rather jealous I wish I could do potions as well as you" Clayton says

I've become bored out of my mind of listening to this dreadful boy Clayton. I wanted to see where Draco went.

"Thanks Clayton but will you excuse me I have something to attend to." I say

I walk out and search around the castle looking for Draco. I stumble upon an odd room and that's when I see his bright blonde hair. He is looking at a cabinet and he picks up an apple with just a bite out of it.

He turns around and sees me
Oh god

"What the bloody HELL are you doing here develin" Draco says
He hasn't had that sort of tone with me for a while.

"I'm sorry I was just wandering around I had to  when I found you I didn't mean to lurk or anything of the sort" I said

"Why were you with Clayton Moore he's trouble you shouldn't be around his sort" he says
" he asked me to sit with him in the dining hall and I just can't stand him"

Draco starts laughing and he asks if I'd like to go for a walk.

We start walking and Draco keeps making me laugh why is he so funny? He brings me to the astronomy tower and we both take a seat somewhat close to each other
I notice Draco seems somewhat sad and not his usual self.

" is everything ok Malfoy" I say

"Of course it is why would it not be"  he says

"I don't know with the dark lord coming back I just feel like things are changing I mean- I don't know"  I say

"I mean if I'm going to be honest I've had a lot of pressure lately from the parents" he says
"They just expect a lot from me he just expects a lot from me " he says

"Who does?" I say

"Well..never mind no one- let's just - let's talk about something else" he says

"I know what you mean my mother being a death eater and all she wants me to be someone I'm really not " I say

"My parents are too if you didn't already know that it does suck having them tell me what to do all the time they pressure me to be so gruesome and I hope you know this isn't really me" he says

"What do you mean it's not you" I ask

" well you know I'm mean sometimes it's really just a - oh god what am i saying you probably don't care it's silly anyways" he says and covers his face

I take one of his hands

"It's not silly" I smile
"You can tell me anything Draco"

He starts to stare into my eyes and gets closer to me inching forward and closes his eyes it almost seemed like he was going to kiss me . but he didn't . I guess Draco wasn't really the rude boy I thought he was maybe he was deeper than that or maybe I was wrong but from what it seemed like Draco Malfoy could quite possibly be a good person.

Draco

Earlier in the dining hall I had seen Aurora with that dreadful Clayton he was such a tool he would play with every girls emotions he was flirting with Aurora and I was fumingly mad. I couldn't stand it. I realized I had to get out of there. I wanted to work on the cabinet which I had been assigned by Voldemort to do so. death eaters could get in the castle soon. I am after all. A death eater. I cringed at the thought of that. I wasn't really so evil on the inside just on the outside. No one knew this about me. No one.  When I was trying so desperately to fix the cabinet I spotted aurora__

I was sitting with Aurora in the astronomy tower. We talked about things I have never really talked about with anyone. Not even my best mates. It was odd thinking I could have someone to confide in.

She was so intriguing she was so sweet.

She told me I could tell her anything and I realized I really was falling for this girl. I really wanted to kiss her. I couldn't although it was quite possibly one of the nights of my life. . I put a strand of her hair behind her ear and I smiled.
we decided to walk back together and I grabbed her hand. Then I let it go in fear of someone spotting us.

Aurora

we realized it was getting late and he walked me back to my room he held my hand for a while and then he stopped. It left me disappointed but at least he had tried. he was so sweet to me this night it was so odd and surprising.
As we got into the slytherin common room he kissed me on the cheek and whispered
"Believe it or not Aurora I had a nice  night with you. Sleep well." He squeezed my hand and walked away. I went to my bed and found a note brought by an owl.
It was from my mum

My dearest Aurora,
I've heard news you've been sorted into slytherin and I couldn't be more proud although there is one thing that would make me very happy. Over this winter break we will be going to the Malfoy' s the dark lord will be there. He will have a task for you.

I couldn't believe it. She really wanted me to be in contact with the dark lord. And at the Malfoys?
