    My problem is going to be on social anxiety. Social anxiety is when you extremely nervous and fearful of speaking in front of people, talking to new people or even some you have known for a big portion of your life, and when you just generally don’t want attention onto you. This can also lead to the fear of rejection, judgment, and being seen in a negative light by your social peers. Social anxiety can be a problem for many reasons for example if you need to present something in front of the class and your anxiety acts up it makes it so you can't do as well as you wanted to. Another example is say you have a job interview. Because of your social anxiety you may not seem like the best person for your job especially if the job involves talking to people.

    Something else about social anxiety is if you have it really badly you can actually have physical reactions like for instance shaking and having tears fill up in your eyes. One other thing that can happen is your breathing speeds up and if you have breathing problems such as asthma that can lead to an asthma attack which is never a good thing. Panic attacks are the worst thing about social anxiety or any type of anxiety in general. Your vision gets bury, you have trouble breathing, you stutter when you try to speak, you sweat a lot, and some people say you think your going to die due to these harsh symptoms.

    Social anxiety if you have it usually starts when you are around six years old when you are thrown into school. This is mostly because you are no longer with your parent to help you talk to people or show you how to do things so you can feel a bit nervous. Another thing this the age where you start getting judged by others on what your doing, how you look, and what you say. If you are typically thrown in the bad light you can lose confidence and be more afraid of what people think and you become more nervous on what you do. This is also the age when you start to develop on your own as a person and if people are making fun of the things you like you become more anxious about showing people what you like and doing what you like because you do not want to put up with the negative judgment.

    Now people have been coming up with all different kinds of ways to help deal with anxiety. One main way is by taking anti-anxiety pills. To get them you need to talk to a doctor. Other ways to deal with your anxiety is to use a simple breathing technique of breath in for 8 seconds, hold for 7 and, out for 4 seconds then repeat. One other method that has been used is listening to music that calms you or music that gets you excited. Therefore you feel calm when you need to talk to people or in front of people same idea when you listen to music that gets you excited. Some people even doodle on themselves or on a piece of paper to relax themselves before whatever they need to do. Basically you just need to distract yourself and calm yourself from whatever you know is going to make you anxious and if you need to calm yourself down use the breathing technique and try the “5 things count trick” or so I have heard it be called. The 5 things trick is where you say (5 things you can see, 4 things you can hear, 3 things you can touch, 2 things you can smell, and 1 thing you can taste.) Though sometimes the last two are hard to do so they aren’t really ones to worry about. So there is my thin on social anxiety and how to help it.
