Chapter 1 - How It All Began

2:00 am

I lay on my bed, staring up at the ceiling after giving up on sleep. I'd had a few rough nights that week but this one was definitely the worst; or so I thought...

Suddenly, I heard the most beautiful voice singing one of my favourite songs. Wanting to see who it was, I got out of bed and wrapped a blanket around my shoulders. Walking out onto my balcony, I saw a boy standing there singing his heart out. The song was 'I'm Yours' by Jason Mraz and I couldn't resist it; so I joined in

After singing one line with him, the boy stopped and looked up at me, looking quite surprised. He smiled at me, raising his eyebrows slightly at me and said "your voice is amazing". Giggling, I smiled and thanked him with a nod. "I'm Jack" he told me and I sat down on my beanbag that i kept outside. "Jordan, but most people call me Jord."

After quite a long conversation, I felt like I'd known him for ages. I'd learned that he'd just moved in with his best friend (also called Jack), he was making music , and we talked about our childhood. Our conversation continued until I eventually fell asleep. His voice was so sweet an calming. I had to talk to this boy more.

11:00 am

I had just finished getting ready, as I did every morning, and there was a lot of shouting and loud music coming from Jack's garden. Wanting to see him again, I walked out of my house in my bikini and I leaned against the fence that separated my garden from his. (I was planning on going in my pool which explains the bikini).

"Hey, it's Jordan!" Jack smiled as he noticed me and turned down the music to talk to me. "Hi!" I smiled, cheerfully as he tried casually checking me out. I've got to admit that he had a great body!

Turning around, he opened the gate and let me in. I introduced myself to all of the boys; Sammy, Skate, Jack J and Shawn. They were all cute but Jack was still winning. "So, what are you boys doing?" I asked, hoping I could join in. "Well, babe, we were gonna do chicken fights in the pool. Wanna join?" I nodded with a smile as Sammy explained. We all got into the pool and I climbed up onto Jack's shoulders; opposite Skate on Sammy's shoulders. "Ready, GO!" Jack Johnson said as he refereed our fight.

Skate was trying to be gentle with me, until I pushed him quite hard. Managing to stay up, he smirked ; about to get revenge. He pushed me so hard that I fell straight off of Gilinsky's shoulders and into the pool below me. I landed flat on my back which hurt a lot. As I came up to the surface, gasping and spluttering, all of the boys rushed to my side. My back was only stinging, not broken.

Skate looked very guilty and kept apologising. "It's fine; honestly" I told him as a I got out of the pool, shaking a little from the shock. Gilinsky got out with me and threw me a towel. He then ran off inside of his house and got me a hoodie to put on. I decided to sit out for a bit and I ended up falling asleep.
