It was a simple day. Maya was approaching the skating rink in which she practiced. She had her bag in one hand and grabbed the door with the other one. She strode inside. As soon as she did, a weird feeling came over her. She shrugged it off and continued to the rink. She stepped into the cold atmosphere and looked around her. The feeling which she had experienced before came back to her. Something was different. She walked closer to the benches so she could tie her skates. She casually threw her bag on them. As she was about to sit down someone caught her eye. The figure zoomed by so fast it was hard for her to catch its details. She turned her head to get a better look. She immediately recognized the person. Her eyes widened and her mouth opened. She thought she recognized them but it couldn't be possible. Gliding on the ice before her was a rather short male. He had chestnut-colored hair and dark eyes. He was an Asian man, most likely Japanese. He had rather plump lips and a strict jawline. His physique was thin yet toned. He was perfect in Maya's eyes. A literal dream in fact. He reminded her a lot of Kazuki Tomono. A famous Japanese figure skater.
"He looks just like him, but what would he be doing here. This is too good to be true!"
The relatively confused Maya thought to herself. There was a guy who had skated at her rink who looked just like Kazuki. She figured it was just him instead of the real Kazuki.
She finished tying her skates and proceeded to the entrance of the ice. She stepped on, after taking off her guards of course, and began to warm up.
"Hurry it up, Maya. We need to start working on your program for regionals." Her coach reminded her. She was distracted so she barely realized where she was going. She noticed the barrier in the corner of her eye so she began to turn. In doing so she unintentionally bumped shoulders with someone. That person was the man she had been staring at previously. They both looked back meeting each other's eyes. He quickly glanced up and down her then turned away.
Maya blushed a bit then looked down. When she reached her coach, she tried to turn around again to get another glance at the Asian beauty. He was skating in her direction. She began to panic. She could feel her heart beating in her chest. Her face became unusually warm. Her body became tense. She sensed the presence of a person behind her.
"Um, excuse me." A rather high pitched voice with a thick accent spoke in back of her. "Yes?" Maya replied back. "Uh, my um stuff is there." Maya knew exactly who it was. "Oh, um okay, sorry." She moved out of the way so he could move his stuff over.
"He even sounds like Kazuki." She remarked in her mind. She took a closer look at him. Sneakily she pulled out her phone and scrolled through her gallery in search of a picture of him. She held her phone up in his direction in order to compare a picture of Kazuki with him. She acted as if she was looking at herself in her camera. Without a doubt, it was the real Kazuki. She couldn't believe her eyes. She had a mix of emotions at that moment. All she knew is that this could either be a bad thing or a good thing.
