// Chapter 1 //

MACI'S POV

"Maci! You ready to go?" My mom yells from downstairs.

"Yeah mom hold on!"

I apply some mascara and eyeliner add a little lip gloss and rush downstairs with all of my bags clomping down the stairs.

Let me explain.

Today I was going to meet my brother

Connor out in LA. Yes Connor as in

Connor Franta. Famous youtuber. He's been living in LA since I was only 12 and although he comes to visit us in Michigan sometimes I've never been in California to visit him.

Today I was going to fly there all by myself and live with him and his friends for the whole summer!

I rushed outside to the car and got in next to my mom.

| time skip to the airport|

"You got all your stuff Maci? Make sure you eat enough and don't be scared to ask the attendant for anything you need okay?" My mom rambled on as tears rimmed her eyes

"Mom relax. It's just for the summer and I'm almost 16. I'll be fine."

Me and my mom were always very close. My dad left when I was 2. Connor was 7 at the time. After Connor left for LA it's been just me and my mom.

"Flight 108 to LA is now boarding"

I hear over the intercom.

"Bye mom I love you I'll call you when I land okay?"

I gave my mom a quick hug and boarded the plane.

I frantically searched the area for Connor who was going to pick me up after the flight.

I grabbed my bags and sent a text to my mom saying I landed in LA safely.

"MACI!!!"

I heard Connor voice and ran to him giving him a huge hug.

"Aw I missed you so much"

He said

"You too"

I looked up from the hug and saw two other boys looking at us. I instantly pulled away awkwardly and introduced myself.

"uh hello I'm Maci. Nice to meet you."

I said and pulled out my hand for a handshake.

The one with poofy hair and beanie stepped forward and shook it.

"Hey Maci. Nice to meet you too. I'm Jc and that's Kian"

He pointed to the tall blonde standing next to him.

"Alright guys let's head towards the house!" Connor yelled and Kian and Jc cheered on response.

This was going to be interesting..
