~Calipsos POV
While we were walking to the gym i could feel my eyes burn cause they wanted to spill out in tears but i wouldn't let that happen. I blinked a few times and pushed the tears back.
I could feel Jackson look at me every once in a while which you know i don't blame him cauae i did just get punched in the face by my mother i guess you can call her and he probably has never seen that happen before in his life. Then again who would want to.
Since that little 'show' happened we were one of the last one to enter in the gym. It was a little bit awkward but i didnt care i just wanted to get it over with.
"Alright alright hows everyone doing out there. Alright today the assembly will go on just a little longer than usual due to the fact we added in something last minute. Don't worry you'll really like what we added. Alright first things first give it up for your boy my boy and the brother of the owner of the beautiful black chevrolet outside. My boy your boy Andy South!"
Everyone got up and clapped loud and hard, all except for me and Jackson we just sorta sat there.
"Eh, what's up everyone. Alright lets start out with our varsity girls basketball team. Give it up for our girls. Now were going to call out everyone on the team one by one. So if you want to clap for your hommies that's Ight but we would want you to wait till after but if you can't then that's Ight to. Alright here we gooooooo!"
I realize that i would have to go down there since i am unfortunately on the varsity basketball team.
After calling all the 6 girls i was the last one to be called. Since my number was 7 and there were only seven girls on the team but we were all extremly good.
"Alright last but she ain't least. You know her as the chick from the south side of the court. Give it up for my baby sister. Calipso South!!!"
Everyone stood up and cheered their hearts out for me. I slowly got up and when i got to the fourth step i jumped off one of my brothers football players shoulders did a backflip type thing and landed on my feet. Everyone yelled out off the top of their lungs maybe even more.
That's when my brother handed me the mic, since i was captin of the team.
"Hey everyone what's up. Alright alot of people ask me or my girls if we bringing home the bell this year well guess what. If the varsity football team don't bring back the bell for us then i can assure you that your varsity girls basketball team will!"
With that i tossed the mic back to Andy huddled with my team and we did our championship chant. Then after that the football team came out and we all huddled together and yelled out our schools mascot.
After that we all went back to our seats and i could see Jackson's mouth wide open from my little performance. I just smirked at him and sat down.
"Alright now that that's over. Thank you Andy, anyways now that we are coming to an end wee want to show you a video that was recorded by one of our yearbook members. Mike Rodriguez had recorded this during his PE class. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as we did. Here we go, lights please."
I looked over at Jackson to see if he knew what the video was about but he just shook his head no and turned to the screen to see what it was.
As soon as the video started to play it started out with Mikey.
'Hey guys ok, so right now I'm in the locker room but I'm going to show you guys something i thought was extremely awesome. I'm sure this was from like freshmen year but i am not really sure. Alright check this out.'
Right when the video played it showed me and Jackson when we were practicing. Actually it showed me and him battling it out and then it showed how the rest of the drumline played background music and how then later on the band joined it. When it was ending it also showed that jackson broke his drum sticks and then a few seconds after it showed how i broke mine.
