It was like any high school party on a Saturday night as the music blasted out of the house in the posh neighborhood late at night. People were mostly drunk or high as they enjoyed their weekend. There was a large group of people over the pool table to the left and others enjoying their drinks and snacks under the elaborate chandelier that hung in the middle of the room. The DJ, playing bop music on the other corner along with a crowd that danced drunkenly. There were also those people who were too stoned to participate anywhere so, they occupied the sitting area. Then there were those who fled upstairs, probably to make out or something like that.

I move past all the crapulent teens, toward my clique near the swimming pool. I place my beer on the edge of the pool and sit dipping my legs in the water. Alyssa and Raven bickered over a guy that they have in their gym class, while Madison vaped silently as I sit beside her and harbor over the whirling thoughts that keeps flashing in my mind. For an introvert as me, I guess too much has had happened this week and all I need is a little time to contemplate everything. But now, I am at this party that my friends forced me to come and can't stop thinking about the pending assignment on Aristotle due this Monday, tomorrow's family gathering at granny's, tutoring Lucy (my younger sister) and primely the intimate encounter I had with 'HIM' after the game, yesterday.

"Hey! You came...?" the voice ceased the train of my thoughts as I look up smiling.

"I made that certain." Alyssa said getting up to grab a drink.

"The party is great, Ty." I said giving a hug to Tyler. He always has some sort of party when his parents are out of town.

"I know right, I'm a great host. You could've missed out on this" said Tyler motioning his hands toward the house. "Also... I'm borrowing Y/N." he stated looking toward my friends, who gave him a nod.

Alyssa came back grabbing a tray full of blue drinks with her. "In half an hour we'll be leaving so, we want Y/N before that." She eyed Tyler and exchanged the cup of beer on my hand with a blue drink. "Plus, I saw a jock barfing his stomach out on those ancient tapestry of yours."

"How even... did he get in there?" he breathed.

"Your parties are always wild." I said holding onto his arms.

Tyler sighed as we move toward the house. He held me close as we veered through the drunk-dancing crowd toward the DJ. On our way through, some people from the crowd high-fived Tyler and patted on his back to appreciate the party he organized.

"So, where are we going?" I asked leaning into his ear because the place was flooded with people which made me uncomfortable.

"I want you to meet someone." he replied looking in a distance. His words made me freeze as the thought of meeting new people results in a new level of anxiety.

"Who is it?" I inspect creasing my brows.

"He's my cousin for whom the party is about. Don't worry he doesn't bite." He reassures knowing my anxiety and introversion.

"Why would you say 'bite'?" I roll my eyes while downing the blue drink all at once.

"That's it, too many questions... come on now." He said pulling me through the crowd. People in the crowd must be smoking something really nasty because the smell of it is making my stomach churn. As a result, I kept focusing my eyes on specific objects to feel less nauseated and to maintain the balance of my body. But I peaked, when I saw a group of people hanging out afront. It is 'HIM' with his friends. The lighting is dim here but I could never miss those captivating features. He is wearing a plain black shirt with casual jeans... gosh! He is hot. As I take him in and look up at his face, I find myself prisoned by his dark brown eyes and all the blood flushed out of my face. He caught me and I don't want to be released.

However, Tyler kept dragging me to where all the sound system was installed. There stood a guy with headphones, mixing music. Tyler gestured the guy, while he put his headphones down on the counter and strutted toward us. He wore a white tank top and all I could do was to notice, his right arm covered in tattoos which travelled up to his sleeve. He had a cap on, but his dyed red hair locks escaped out on his forehead. On top of that he had a nose ring along with black stud earrings. He smirked at me as he came closer.

"Josh, meet Y/N, a really close friend of mine." Tyler exclaimed squeezing me tight, around his arms. "And Y/N, this is my cousin Joshua Dun." He added as Josh stuck his hand out for a shake. But all I could feel was a pair of brown eyes piercing my back as I shook my hands with Josh.

"For how long would you be here Josh?" I asked, trying to put myself together but that was not helping.

"Oh! I just transferred and would be at West Bridge High, with you guys." He nodded toward Tyler and me.

"That's really cool, now Ty and I'll have another person to karaoke with during the drive to school." I cheered but that made my stomach more upset.

"He plays drums." Tyler chimed in with a heavy voice.

"Let's get some drinks." Josh said as he started walking. And that was it, when the weird smelling smoke hit my nose again and everything started to move beneath me. I lost my balance but before I could fall Josh grabbed me.

"Bathroom." That's what I muttered. Both Tyler and Josh were now concerned as they raced me to the one in Tyler's room. I threw my guts out as Tyler held on to my hair while Josh, held a glass of water and a towel. "It must be the blue thingy." I squeaked. Just then, the door flew open.

"What's going on? Did you freaks hurt her?" The voice shouted.

"Why would we hu..." Before Tyler could finish, he was pinned to the wall by Pete. My puking stopped as I was awestruck by Pete's presence. Josh gave me the towel and placed the glass of water beside the sink as he stood up for Tyler's defense.

"She just got sick... and now we have it under control." Josh explained to calm the situation.

"I'm... fine." I said, standing up and wiping my face with the towel. Pete inspected my face for a moment, probably making sure that I was okay and eventually released Tyler.

"What was that Wentz?" Tyler inquired while fixing his shirt.

"Something." Pete stole a glance at me and fled.
