Promposal

The stars are shining bright on the beach water. The waves crash upon the sand and I stand there, roses in one hand, card in the other as the moonlight reflects giving a stage light. The sign reads "Let's make both our dreams come true and come with me to PROM?"
I'm very nervous as I await Faiths arrival. She is my girlfriend. Her mother went to pick her up as she is relaxing at home. Her mother and sister helped me set the beach up so I can ask her to prom. The rows of roses, beach shells lining a lovely runway. We made long divots in the sand so the water could flow towards me and surround me as I stand on a lone island of sand. My hair is combed in gel and I'm wearing a suit and tie looking extra special for her.
I repeatedly say what's on the poster in my head nervous for Faiths reaction. My mom is there phone in hand ready to record it all.
"They're almost here" my mom chimes.
"Yeah I know" I nervously reply.
The car pulls up. I quickly stand tall and straight. The doors close and I hear them walking down the peer onto the beach. Faith walks on the path leading up to me. She begins to cry. Her mother and sister begin to record on their phones as well as my mother. She comes up to me.
"Hi" she shies our with tears running down her face.
"Hi" I reply nervously looking at her.
"Faith lets make both of our dreams come true. You and me together on one special night to have the time of our lives. Faith will you go to prom with me?" I shout.
She looks at me and shouts "YES" and hugs me and kisses me. Her brother and Father show up and her dad yells "Aww did I miss the good part already?". We all chuckle and laugh and Faith and I look at each other and kiss once more. I hand her the flowers and put the sign down. We hug each other like we just got married and the bells were ringing and doves were flying. An ordinary night has become a night neither of us will ever forget.
