I walked into my house after another boring day of school.
"Ariana?" I heard my mom call. I skipped into the dining room to see my parents sitting at the table.
"Yes." I said sitting down and smiling.
"We have decided we are going to go on vacation to Hawaii." My dad said smiling.
"Yes! I've always wanted to go to Hawaii." I said smiling.
I looked at my mom and she was frowning.
"What's wrong?" I asked noticing my mom's change of mood.
"Only your father and I will be attending this trip." She said looking at me.
"W-where will I stay?" I asked kind of upset.
"You'll be staying with a close friend of mine." My dad said and I was confused.
"You remember Lindsey and Dave right?" My mom asked, I nodded even though I don't remember them.
"They offered to let you stay there." My dad finished.
"W-when do you leave?" I stuttered looking down at my shoes.
"Tomorrow." My mom said and I looked up. I let a tear fall down my face.
"How long?" I asked wiping it away.
My mom looked at my dad and her frown came back.
"A month." My dad said and I sat there trying not to make them feel bad.
"Well I hope you guys have fun." I said standing up and hugging them.
"I love you." I said walking out of the dining room, up to my room.
