Someone's finally adopting me. That's fun. I've been here for uh... idk really. But I finally get to leave! Maybe I'll make more friends. This is the last thing I have to pack before leaving. I'm gonna miss this place, though. I grew up here.
You smiled, rereading the journal entry. It's been a month since you were adopted, and it was the best month of your life. There was nothing wrong with the orphanage, but you enjoyed having your own family.
"Y/n, you're still up?" your brother mumbled.
"Yeah. I'm gonna go to sleep now," you replied.
"We have school tomorrow, you can't sleep in."
"I know. 'Night."
"G'night, Y/n."
You reached over and placed the journal back down, turning off the lights before you went to sleep.

"Y/n, wake up."
"Daina, it's too early," you mumbled from under the mountain of blankets.
"We have school, get up." He pulled the blankets off of you.
"Fine," you whined. You got up to get ready, grabbing a pair of leggings with a t-shirt and vest, as well as your glasses on the way to the bathroom.
Before you had been adopted, you learned that Daina was only a few months older than you and he had a little brother who got out of the hospital recently.
Now, even after just a month, you felt like you knew them forever.
Today was your first day at Beigoma, Daina's school. It seemed inconvenient, joining after summer when the school year was halfway done, but the orphanage had been funding for everyone there to get education until they were adopted.
You headed to the table once you were finished getting ready and sat next to Souta, your foot constantly tapping the ground.
"Nervous?" Daina asked, putting his shoes on.
"Take a guess." You stopped tapping and began to eat quickly, not wanting to be late on your first day. "Do we have the same classes?"
"Yeah, I think they made it so that I could help you."
You let out a small sigh of relief. "So I won't get lost, thank god." You stood up and put the plate away before grabbing your f/c messenger bag and running to the door, putting on your combat boots.
"Come on, Souta, we have to go."
"Okay!" He got up and followed the two of you.
Once you finished lacing up your boots, the three of you left the apartment. Souta walked between the two of you, holding both your hands.
Pulling out your phone, you went through your playlists until you found the one labeled 'creepypasta'. You pressed play, putting one earbud in and letting the other hang loosely. All the songs were from Madame Macabre. "So who do you usually hang out with?"
"The bey club. You remember Valt, right?"
"Oh... the team you fought with?" You ran your tongue over your teeth, humming God Syndrome and swinging the loose earbud around your fingers
"Yeah. We're not in the same homeroom class, but we always eat together and then practice after school. Valt has a brother and sister that play with Souta."
"Nika and Tokonatsu are really nice!"
You smiled and ruffled your younger brother's hair. "I bet they are."
Most of the walk was silent, save for the occasional muttering of 'join me with a painted smile' and 'my name, I'm just Toby' as different sogns played through the headphones. Once you got to school, you stopped the music and followed Daina to class, saying a quick bye to Souta.
"You seem to really like fanmade music," Daina said.
"Yeah... usually creepy music though." You bumped into an ash-blonde boy who was a bit taller than you, and about 20 centimeters taller than Daina.
"Watch it," he snapped.
"Oh, sorry." As the two of you sat down in your classroom, you turned to Daina. "Who is that?"
"I don't know. His name's Kacchan or something... At least that's what Deku called him. I don't know either of their names if those aren't. I think they're a grade above us."
"Okay." You placed your head down on the desk.
"Hey, Daina. Who's this?"
You looked up to see a different blond standing there. He had piercing blue eyes, and his hair was spiky and pulled back into a ponytail. You recognized him as Daina's teammate, Wakiya. "Hey."
"This is my sister."
"Didn't know ya had one."
"I was adopted, deal with it," you mumbled into your arms.
"It's been a month."
"Oh. An' since school just got back-"
"Yep," you cut him off.
The teacher walked in as Wakiya sat in front of Daina.
"I'm-"
"Komurasaki Wakiya, I know. Kurogami Y/n."
