A few days later I was released from the hospital and they said the baby was healthy now, however they told me a weekly appointment would be very recommended so I went with it.
I spent days thinking about Cameron and one day while Ben was at work I called him.
"Hello?" His crisp voice came threw the phone into my ear.
"Hi it's Katie." I say and there's a pause. "I was just wondering if I could bring Nathan over there so you could see him and maybe give us time to talk?" There was another pause but right as I was about to say bye I got an answer.
"Yea, I'd like that a lot." I smiled knowing I may have my best friend back cause that's all I need. I got Nathan ready and I drove him over there.
When I pulled in Cameron was sitting on the porch reading a book, one of my favorites ' I Loved Him."
"Hello." I walk towards him.
"Hi." A smile spreads across his face and man did it make me want to kiss him.. I really did still love him.
"How have ya been." I say taking a seat in the law chair next to him.
"Well, okay I guess." He starts. "I left Lacey because she got pregnant with another dude." He shook his head. "I thought she loved me." He say looking at Nathan.
"So she's gonna be a mother." I say.
"Yep, but thank god not with my child." He says and I can't help but to laugh and he starts to laugh.
"I missed you." I finally said and he lost his smile so I looked away.
"So your pregnant too again?" Cameron's asked me.
"Yea, Bens a good guy although he's always at work." I say.
"I'm happy for you, I really am." He told me.
"Thanks." I say then Nathan started crying.
"Come here baby." I say picking him off the ground. "Aww you'll be okay." I rock him.
"You'll be a good mother again." He told me and I smiled and laughed.
"I'm a pro." I reminded him.
"Right." He laughed. "I wish I could be in his life." He said and I could totally understand how he feels because if someone took Nathan away from me then I would wish to be in his life.
"You will always be apart of his life.." I say. "Always." I repeat myself.
