Planned All Along (A Bellarke Story)

Chapter 1

"Hawaii?"

"Yes, Maui to be precise. I've got money to burn!" An excited Monty Green told his friends, including a skeptical Clarke. Monty was in a celebratory mood as he had just sold his first tech innovation for over 1.5 million.

"All of us?" Jasper asked.

"Yep! We'll get two suites! Clarke, Octavia, Harper, Maya, and Raven can stay in one and you, me, Bellamy, Lincoln, and Wick can take the other!" Monty explained

"Sounds great to me!" Octavia chimed in.

"And me!" Lincoln replied

"I'll second that!" Harper and Maya said simultaneously

"I'm sure Wick would be down too!" piped up Raven.

The only reluctance came from Bellamy and Clarke, as they knew they would be the responsible ones of the group and have to take care of everyone.

Raven prodded "C'mon guys, it's for Monty. And it's free!"

Bellamy glanced at Clarke, "I'm in if you are"

Clarke replied, "I guess, sure. For Monty."

"Woohoo!" chorused the group

"Next weekend?" Monty asked as it was Memorial Day and everyone would have extra time off work.

There was a resounding yes as the group began to get excited for a fantastic weekend with their friends.

One Week Later

"C'mon Clarke." Raven said "We leave tomorrow morning and you haven't packed a thing"

"Ugh go away. It was a long work week!" Clarke replied

Taking matters into her own hands, Raven began rummaging through Clarke's drawers. If she wasn't going to pack for herself, Raven would do it for her.

"We're only going to be there for the weekend. How much stuff could I need? Clarke groaned

"A lot, you need hiking clothes, nice clothes, lots of swimwear, etc. it is going to be an insane weekend, plus you never knew whom you might want to impress" Raven winked at her

"Ugh fine. Pick whatever I don't care" Clarke replied, "And as for your not so subtle comment, that is not going to happen!"

"Whatever you say Clarke" and with that, Raven left to get a suitcase.

The Next Day

Bellamy's alarm went off at 4:00 A.M.

Groaning, he shut it off and got up out of bed. Why had he let Monty convince him to go on this trip consisting of the earliest flight in the universe. He is going to spend half the trip babysitting anyway. Oh well, he thought as Clarke was probably feeling the same way. He combed through his curly mop, brushed his teeth, and threw on some clothes before grabbing his suitcase and heading out to his car. He was due to pick up his sister Octavia, as well as Clarke and Raven shortly as carpooling to the airport was the smart decision.

He pulled up to the apartment complex and sent all three a text that he was there. He wasn't sure who'd be paying attention this early. Clarke was first to reply.

Be right down.

And sure enough, after a few minutes, she came down the stairs followed shortly by the other two. He got out to help with bags. As they then piled into the car he couldn't help but notice that even this early Clarke still looked beautiful. Shaking it off, he pulled out onto the road.

They got to the airport before anyone else and decided to go ahead through security and wait for them at the gate. Soon, Lincoln and Wick arrived but no one else. Their flight boarded at 5:45, it was currently 5:40 and there was no sign of their other friends. Minutes ticked by. Finally, mere seconds before the boarding call they came bursting down the terminal. Running up to them Monty explained that when they went to pick up Jasper, he hadn't even woken up. Collective groans and laughs chorused the group as they boarded the plane.

Clarke dragged her bag down the aisles until she got to her seat. She tried to lift it into the overhead bin but couldn't. What the hell did Raven pack in here she wondered. Suddenly, Bellamy appeared behind her.

"Need some help?" he asked

"That'd be great" she replied

Once he had grabbed it from her she flopped down in her seat, ready for some more sleep that she desperately needed.

Bellamy sat down next to her. "Can't get away from me that easy Princess"

The nickname used to be an insult to her, but coming from Bellamy it was different.

"That implies I was trying to" Clarke teased

Soon after takeoff, Clarke had fallen fast asleep. At some point, she started fidgeting until her head rested comfortably on Bellamy's shoulder. He tried not to make anything of it. She was asleep for god sakes. She had no control over her movements. He settled in thinking of their tumultuous past. When he and Clarke met, they hated each other. He thought she was a spoiled rich kid who did not care enough about Octavia when they were roommates and friends in college. He soon realized he was wrong and began to become quite close friends with her. A part of him always wanted more but she was too important to him to lose over one-sided feelings. He looked at her like she was his favorite thing in the world even when she was asleep. Lost in his thoughts, he began to nod off. In a short time, he had fallen asleep too.

Monty was awoken with a poke on his shoulder. Whipping his head around he realized it was only Octavia from the seat behind him. She pointed at where Bellamy and Clarke were sitting or rather sleeping, on each other. Monty blinked a few times to make sure what he was seeing was there. He whacked Jasper from across the aisle and pointed to them. Jasper face quickly lit up with a huge smile.

"Octavia. Wake Raven, she has to see this too!"

Raven woke up to Octavia staring and poking at her. "Dude what the hell is going on" she whispered

"Look" Octavia replied pointing at Bellamy and Clarke.

Raven looked over at the sleeping duo and smiled.

"Looks like it's working..." she told Octavia
