Chapter Five

We walked up to the stage and sat on chairs we'd pulled up. My father sat across from us dressed in a deep purple color. "Well you wanted to talk to us?" I asked. "I did." he responded and started to think. "About?" I asked impatiently. "Well," he said hesitantly. "Would you like to join me? Be a half vampire? I want you to think about your choice, it's just I know this is all new to you and kind of baffling but still. I'd really like you to consider it." I sat there in awe. "b...but dad," I stuttered, "what would mum do? Wouldn't she be upset? Even if I were to fake my death that'd just make her depressed." he stared at me for a second as if considering his options. "I will go speak with her within the next week." he said and stood up, "c'mon ladies you must be getting home now. don't worry your mothers too much." He said as he showed us the way out. I turned to him and hugged him. "I know I just met you but I love you dad." I said and let go and started heading home. "I...i love you too, darling." he said we walked away.

Once we were far from the Cirque I stopped and turned to Briar, "Do you think I should do it? Maybe I could get him to let you join too!?" I said excitedly. She stared at me for a moment and said, "Harmony, your my best friend and if you think that you'd need me that much... Well then guess who's becoming a vampire with you." I looked at her for second and smiled and hugged her as we both squealed excitedly. "We're gonna be vampires!" We chanted over and over again. When we reached her house she climbed into her window as quickly and quietly as she could. Then I went home, I had to tell my mom that I didn't want to stay anymore because I missed home, and she believed me. Once I was in my room I started packing one bag of things I'd need to take with me when I became a vampire. A half vampire to be specific.
