Y/N POV:

"Ladies and gentlemen, we are about to begin our descent into Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. I now ask everyone to take their seats, and buckle your seatbelts as we begin our descent."

I let out a shaky breath as I double-checked my belt to make sure it was fastened. I hadn't seen my sister since I left for Boarding School 2 years ago. We were inseparable. Bella and I never really mixed with the crowd, we preferred each other's company. Our evenings were usually spent with casual strolls through Phoenix, and late night meals at MacDonalds. However when I got a scholarship to a boarding school in New York, she encouraged me to go. Bella knew it was my dream to visit the city that never slept. I would always talk about my plans to travel, and every time New York would be the first destination to leave my rambling mouth.

I can remember saying goodbye to her in the airport as if it were yesterday...

Flashback:
Bella and I stood in the departures gate. She had offered to stay with me. I had already said my goodbyes to Mam and Phil. Now it was just Bella and I. As it always had been.

"Y/n stop crying, we'll see each other soon" my sister Bella reassured me whilst trying to hold back tears of her own. " You've always wanted to visit New York, and nows your chance! Just make sure to FaceTime me as soon as you get their or I'll slap you silly!"

I let out a weak chuckle, and wrapped my arms around my sister. "You don't have to worry about that, Bells. You know I won't waste an opportunity to talk to you, you're my sister, my best friend!"  Suddenly realization set on me like a tap had been turned on and no-one was there to turn it off. Worry overflowed me, as if the sink was overflowing. Bella noticed my discomfort and squeezed my shoulders giving me a questioning look.

"What if no one there likes me?  What if no one wants to be my friend. You're my only friend and we are not going to be together anymore" I choke out.

"Y/n listen to me. Anyone would be lucky to have you as their friend. You are a wonderful, caring, sweet, kind girl. With a bit of a temper I admit..." "Hey!" I interjected. She just laughed, and continued, "but nonetheless anyone would be lucky to call you their friend".

I gave Bella one final hug as the final call for my flight was called. I waked over to the flight attendant and handed them my passport and boarding pass. When I was free to continue, I gave one final look to my sister, before setting off for New York. Despite my hesitations, I was actually pretty darn excited.

End of Flashback

Now I was on my way to live in Forks with her and my dad, Charlie. Charlie was the local chief of police in the small town. The last time I had seen him was when I visited with Bella in the summer when we were younger. But it's been years.

I had left my beloved boarding school in New York, because of an incident that occurred at the school. Both my parents agreed that I would be safer in Forks.

I felt the familiar thump of the airplane as it landed. I had always loved this part of the flight, and it brought a smile to my face. Soon enough, I was exiting the plane. I couldn't wait to see my sister. I had only seen her through a screen for the last two years and being able to see her in person brought tears of happiness to my eyes.

Before I reached baggage claim my phone started buzzing with endless messages. I quickly scrolled through, I spotted one from Bella, however I let of a chuckle as I seen that most of them were from Katie or Daniel. Two of my closest friends in the entire world. Contrary to my beliefs on leaving Phoenix, I had made friends. However Katie and Daniel were my, as the saying goes, "BFF's", they were the only people outside of my family who knew the truth behind my scar on my neck. Subconsciously I moved my (h/l) (h/c) around to the side of my face to cover the scar.

I sent a quick text to the fawn haired girl, and the blonde boy, informing them of my arrival. I ensured them that I'd call them as soon as I got settled in.

I then grabbed my suitcases and walked out through gate. I scanned the crowd looking for a certain brunette wig chocolate brown eyes in the crowd. I heard a squeal, and before I could look around to see where it came from, a body collided with mine and wrapped me in a tight hug. The brown hair got caught in my mouth, and it hadn't taken me long to realize that it was none other than my sister. A smug smile came to me as I noticed that I was fractionally taller than the older girl.

We pulled apart after a minute. Bella's face turned serious as she put her fingers over my scar and a tear cane to her eyes. I quickly grabbed her hand, and shook my head. "Bella it's not your fault, and I'm okay now. Let's not dwell on the past, Kay? I'm safe now so let's go home, and start over".

We then left the airport, and went home, there I met Bella's boyfriend Edward, who had an unusual gold color in his eyes. Apparently him and Bella had just gotten back from a trip to Phoenix to visit our Mom.

My meeting with my father was awkward to start with, but soon all that disappeared and we talked and conversed like a family would. We then went out to Carver Café for a bite to eat. There Bella introduced me to her friends from school, Jessica, Angela, Mike and Eric. They seemed nice, however on meeting them I was reminded of Katie and Daniel, and I missed them terribly.

I was beginning to feel at home in the small town, and for the first time in a while, I felt safe.

3rd Person POV:

Little did Y/n know that as much danger that she had left behind in New York, she was no more safe in the seemingly innocent town that is Forks.
