The New Popular Kid

Philip's POV

I entered school with Angie and I found a lot of people surrounding a girl.

"Huh? What's going on over there?" I said walking towards the crowd.

"Oh I think she's the new student. She transferred here from a rich private school I think. She's Mrs. Reynolds daughter." Angie replied like she knew everything.

"How do you know all of this Angie?"

"I have my sources." She smiled at me. Angie always seems to know all the gossip at school. I finally got a glimpse of the new kid. She looked just like her mother and I could see a lot of boys already fell in love with her. But, I didn't. No one can beat Theo's beauty.

"Hey Angie what's her name?"

"Oh the new kid? Her name is Susan." Susan looked at me and smiled. I got confused was she smiling to be nice? Either way I brushed it off and headed to my locker. I went to Theo's locker afterward which wasn't too far from mine.

"Hey Theo!" She turned to face me.

"Oh hi Pip! Have you met Susan, the new kid?"

"No, not yet have you?"

"No I just figured you did since you are quite popular here. She seems like a great person though!"

"Yeah she does. Come on let's head to Seabury's class."

"Alright!" She closed her locker and we headed towards Seabury's class.

Theo's POV

Susan really does look like a nice person. Maybe I will meet her today. Hopefully she is nice. We finished Seabury's class and went to Mrs. Reynolds class. It wasn't surprising that Susan is in this class.

"Okay students settle down! We have a new student, who is also my daughter."

"Hi I'm Susan Reynolds." She sounded really sweet. "I transferred here since my parents both work here. It's easier for me to go here."

She soon sat down and we continued on with our work. Soon it was lunch and Angie, Pip, Will, and I sat at a table together. We mostly talked about whatever came to our mind first. Then, Frances Laurens joined us.

"Hey guys!" Frances said sitting down next to Angie. I bet I was the only one who noticed that Angie blushed a little when Frances sat next to her.

"Hey Frances." Pip said.

"You took a while Frances." I said, finishing up my food.

"Yeah sorry my teacher kept me in 'cause we wouldn't shut up."

"That makes sense." Will said causing all of us to laugh. We all finished up our food and went to do our own thing.

"Hey Theo I'm gonna play soccer since I have practice after school."

"Oh ok Pip. I was actually planning on staying here after school since my dad has his work friends over."

"Oh great! Wanna watch me at soccer practice?"

"I'd love to!" I smiled at him.

"See ya later then Theo." He smiled and went off to play soccer in the field.

"See ya Pip!" I went over to a tree and did my homework I got assigned for my previous classes. It was really simple and it wasn't a lot. Once I finished I looked up and I saw Pip playing soccer. He's really good at it. He's been playing his whole life I'm pretty sure. Philly is popular because he plays soccer and soccer is the best sport at this school. Most of the sports funds go to the soccer team and everyone goes to see the soccer games.

I open up my book that I got. It's a really good book so far I hope they both find love. I hope I find love someday too. Soon the bell rang and lunch ended. I put my book in my bag and headed off to my next class. In the hallway George comes towards me.

"What do you want George!"

"A date with you." He winked.

"Leave me alone."

"I won't until you agree to go on a date with me." Next thing I know, he got closer to me.

Philip's POV

I was walking towards my next class when I saw George with Theo. I knew this wasn't good. I quickly went over there.

"George back off dude!" I pushed him away from Theo.

"Do you always have to come in? I almost got a date with Theodosia." He rolled his eyes and I got mad.

"Sure, whatever you say." I said sarcastically.

When Theo said this I was shocked. "George did you really think I was going to go on a date with you? I'd rather go on a date with Pip instead of you. Heck I'd even go on a date with a turtle." I knew she added the last part just to make it funny. I turned kinda red when she said that and George saw it.

"Aw is someone turning red?" He teased at me.

"You should be the one turning red after knowing you won't have a chance with Theo." I said back filling with anger.

"It's not like you have a chance with her anyway." He scoffed.

"He has a better chance than you George." Theo said crossing her arms. I'm guessing he had enough since he stormed off.

"Hey Theo did you uh- did you mean what you said earlier?"

"Yeah of course I did! I would never in a million years go on a date with George." We both laughed and joked about how annoying and stupid George is until we reached our next class.
