Open Your Eyes

Chapter 1

Annabelle's POV

This day can't get any worse! If I have to go to another lame high school party with my cousin I swear I'm going to rip my hair off. But there's no point in complaining about it this time because it's her party this time, she's turning 17 finally be able to shift and recognize her mate. If he is in this pack, she's so excited in finding her mate she has been obsessed with finding him since the time we were told what a mate was. Finding her "Prince Charming," she says. I honestly do hope she finds him so I won't have to hear her complain about not having one anymore.

" Anna are you ready yet!" Cassandra yells at me from the other side of the door. I step back to see how I look  with my plain gray t-shirt and blue jeans

I get up from my bed and yell back to her "Cass I'm almost done." Right as I say that she bursts into the room. "What the hell! What are you doing"

     " I thought you said you were almost ready to come, Anna the party is going to start soon."

I sigh and go to my closet and try to pick something but I honestly don't know what to wear. Usually, we celebrate our birthday together on the 13th since our birthdays are so close hers on the 11th and mine on the 15th we just chose a day in the middle it was just easier that way. Ever since we were little we did that we even would be the same outfit or same dress with a different styles. But Cassie wants to celebrate her 17th alone so I don't know what I should wear to things like this.

She puts her hand on my shoulder and sighs "It's fine I'll find you something just do something with your hair."

She walks out and I turn to her so I can actually get a look at what she's wearing a gold backless sequin mini dress. Which completely screams Cassie it's loud and flashy. I love her but she gets to be a bit too much sometimes. Always a little flashy and flirty not that it's bad but it gets annoying. I walk into the bathroom to find my curling iron and just start curling my hair. Looking in the mirror at my long brown hair to my plain boring brown eyes.

"Yesss!" Cass comes timing in her also gold heels with a burgundy short dress with a sweetheart neckline "here try it on and you can put your black heels on. It's perfect it's nice pain and simple..just like you." With the biggest smile on her face, she hands me the dress.

Gosh, thanks I guess the dress was pretty though the necklace my mom gave me suits it well, it's a golden starburst with an opal stone. My mother said that this necklace was the embodiment of everything I am the starburst of love I give, she said never to take it off and I haven't. Even with the necklace though I still looked simple she said my plain brown hair and boring brown eyes. Nothing compared to her curly wild blonde hair and bright green eyes. I choose to stay in my room and leave my brother and Cass to set up the house for her party. It starts around 9 almost all of the teenagers in our pack will come all wanting to know if my dear cousin is their mate and I mean for the party and sleeping around but to "celebrate" my cousin is why they come. Ha.

Around 9:50 is when I hear the party start to come alive the music blaring and lots of chatter. I get up and lock my door and do the same to My brother Blake's room Cassie's and Parker's I should leave one open because I don't want them to break down one of the other doors. Damn horny teenage wolves. Some humans are going to be here but even then Cain wouldn't dare come he knows better he would be signing his death sentence coming to a wolves house.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY CASSANDRA!!!!" Some guy shouted, followed by a loud crash Damn it they're going to ruin my house. I run downstairs to I've instantly met with a wave heat and the music playing. I push through all the bodies trying to find what broke then I found a broken frame with a picture of Cass and I hugging when we were 13 I picked up all the big pieces of glass and threw them away I put the picture in one of the cabinets to make sure no one ruins it.

Breathe Annabell just try to enjoy yourself. My wolf whispers to me and I'm grateful cause I'm ready to snap at one of these guys. I breathe and start dancing with the others I was actually starting to have fun till I feel two hands on my waist and I tense up.

" Hey, beautiful." His words were slurred and he reeked of beer. I tried leaving but he hardens his grip

"Get off me!" He pulled me closer until I can feel his breath on my neck.

" Come on you bitch you know you're enjoying this." I don't know why I'm not doing anything I'm stronger than him I know I am but I had a little to drink and I all that's going through my head is fear

" Get your Fucking hands off her you mutt." Someone screams from across the room I turn to see who it is when I feel the guy gets thrown to the wall

Someone places their hand on my shoulder and I instantly know who it is "Are you okay?" Parker the future beta of my pack. "Did he touch you I swear I'll kill him." He grows

"It's okay it's okay I'm fine, thank you." I give him my best smile so he knows I'm actually okay he looks down on me and looks unsure but nods. "Where's Blake?" I turn around to see him beating the guy who was on me senseless I run over to them I try to pull Blake off him.

     " BLAKE ITS FINE COME ON, IM FINE." He wasn't listening "BLAKE YOU'RE GOING TO KILL HIM!" I try and I try to pull my brother off him but I can't so I turn to Parker "please stop him" he sighs and walks over to him

    " Blake that's enough. She's right you're going to kill this mutt and it won't be worth it." Blake finally turns to face us his eyes are dark blue not brown it's his wolf.

" Hale it's fine he didn't hurt me. Now can you give Blake control back" he gave me one more look over and nodes his eyes turn  to his regular caramel brown eyes. " let's go." We walk up the stairs to his room passing many people making out in the hallway we make our way to Blake's room and tell him to calm down and stay there just for a bit so he won't ruin Cass's birthday any more than it probably was.

Parker and I go back downs stairs to the party I look around trying to see what I could do but I only feel awkward here now. My own home and I just want to leave.
" Let's get out of here?" Parker holds out his hand

" We can't leave. It's Cass's birthday she'll kill us!"I try to look around for her but can't seem to find her

" Bell I think she'll be fine she usually doesn't even notice us anyway. And look she seems to be doing fine without us." I turn to where he's looking and she's outside with a group of guys carrying her up like a queen. " She is getting the attention she loves, let her." He's right I turn back to him and take his hand

We walk out the door and start walking into the forest. He leads me to a path that seems familiar but I can't make it out. We haven't said a word since we've left but there is no need I'm comfortable with Parker I always have since the day I met him. The future beta that loves to read and take care of kids the guy that I consider a second brother. He is part of the family-like Blake and Cass, he takes care of us and we take care of him. Are happy little dysfunctional family. When I look over to him his eyes are flashing back and forth from his regular ocean blue to bright green he's arguing with his wolf. I squeeze his hand to get his attention and his eyes snap to blue again. He's looking down at me and smiles

" Is something wrong?" He is about to respond when he looks ahead of me by here isn't anything there.

"Sorry Bell we have to go back Ethan needs me to do something. Come let's go back home." He sighs and takes my hand again walking back to our house still not saying anything but now everything feels tense as if something is wrong.

So as some of you can see I rewrote the first chapter because I wrote that chapter years ago and well it sucked and this I would like to say is a lot better. I hope you enjoy this chapter a new one coming soon.
