I woke up to something standing over my bed growling. I scream and it disappears. for a split second I think in my head, what was that?! Then I come to my senses to run as fast as I can to my mother's room. she wasn't there! I hear something saying, "Hunny wake up wake up it's time for school you're gonna be late." I wake up with tears in my eyes, I hug my mom as tight as i can, i say "I thought you were gone, Where were you?!" She says, "what are you talking about sweetie?" I say "Nothing." She rolls her eyes then walks out. In her mind i'm sure she thinks i'm crazy. she was always Ms. perfect in high school, did everything right, had no problems, everybody liked her, passed all her classes with 95 average. We're so different I sometimes think i was adopted. I hear my mother from downstairs scream, "Amanda you're gonna be late for your first day back to green bay high school hurry up!!!" I just find some old sweat pants & a jacket, I throw that on, I then go downstairs. My mother looks me up & down. I already knew what she was gonna say before she even said it. She then spits out exactly what i already knew she was gonna say. "You're wearing that on your first day back to high school?" I roll my eyes. "Duh mom, i am wearing this, why would i wanna impress a bunch of Meat heads & Rich Girls that get whatever they want at a snap of a finger?" I storm out the front door and go down the street to the bus stop. all i see is cars & cars & more cars but no bus. I then look at my phone. I realize that it's 9:20. I've already missed the bus. i screamed "Could this day get any worse!!!?" I then see this really strange looking guy walking down the street mumbling to himself. all i could hear is why me. why does this always happening to me. when i find out who he is i'll kill him! He looks at me with evil in his eyes. i turned the other way & walked away. at first i got a little worried, then i just brushed it off. I call Ms. perfect, aka my mother, to pick me up & take me to school. all i got was her voicemail. repeatedly I tried to call & no answer, So I decide I'll just start walking to Green Bay, it's about a 40 minute walk. I need the excercise anyway, i mumble to myself. after 5 minutes of walking It starts pouring down raining. I keep walking, then a car pull's up next to me. "Do you need a ride Ms?" I stared him up & down, "Does it look like i need a ride?!" He giggles "Yes you kinda do look like you need a ride, it's pouring down raining and your soaked & you're walking." I open his car door & sit in the passanger side & slam the door shut. "What is your name & Where are you going?" I just ignored him for about 5 minutes. it was just an akward silence. He then broke the silence. "Well my name is Jimmy Nelson." I thought in my mind, that name sounds so familar. He shook my hand. i then told him my name was Amanda Martin. "That's a pretty name Ms. Martin." "Thank you, but you don't gotta call me Ms. Martin, i'm nothin like my mother." I then giggled. he did also. "You never answered, where am i taking you?" "Oh i'm sorry Mr. Jimmy, But Green Bay High School, we're almost there!" He then told me about his family & his oldest daughter starting 5th grade this year! I started to get sidetracked, I then started looking around & realized we were going the wrong way. I said "Mr. Jimmy where are you taking me??" He laughed "Are you scared Amanda? do you think i'm gonna kidnap you or something?" I giggled a little bit & said, "noo I just thought you didn't know where you were going!" "I've lived in this town all my life, i know where i'm going" he kept laughing. My hands got really sweaty. I thought in my head, I have a really bad... before i could finish my thought, CLICK... the door locks. I tried my best to open it but it wouldnt budge. I scream "WHERE ARE YOU TAKING ME!!!?" "Silly girl, your parent's never taught you not to take ride's from strangers?!"
