Rico sat staring blankly at the wall in front of him, trying to block out the muffled voices coming from the principal's office. From his seat in the hall, he could hear the strain and frustration emerging from the conversation. Fiddling with his fingers he closes his eyes, knowing that Blossom won't be very happy when she comes back out.
There's the sound of the door leading into the main corridor opening and closing. "HEY!" someone yells. Rico groans. "Cherry what do you want?!" he mumbles, opening his eyes slightly and turning to look at the pale girl. Her face is dotted in a gazillion freckles that cover her cheeks and the bridge of her nose. Her eyes are a vibrant pink and she has creamy, almost white, hair tied up in pigtails. She's wearing a white shirt covered by a red hoodie, with a darker red skirt.
Cherry comes and sits beside him, crossing her legs. "You're in big trouble, ya know." she says, prodding him in the arm. He sighs and slumps further down in his chair. "Yeah. I realise." he mutters, glancing over at his adoptive sister. She cocks her head and raises a brow. "I graffitied the front of the school and broke a school bus. How am I not in trouble for that?" he exclaims, tugging at a loose strand of his overly fluffy, bright pink hair. Cherry sticks her tongue between her teeth and rolls her eyes. Rico goes back to staring at the wall.

She'd been cautioned by the maidens of Southside that he was a troublemaker; she wonders why she didn't heed their warning. Within the time he's been in her custody he's managed to bend and break every boundary ever imaginable. There were multiple occasions where she questioned what instinct made her sign the papers and take him home that day. She's doing just that now, only now she's furious.
Blossom tightens her grip on the steering wheel, determined to not to let her anger get out of control. She can see Rico in the rear view mirror. He's hanging his head, staring at the car floor, his odd bangs covering his yellow eyes from view.
This is the final straw.
