"I should have known!" Jenn thought to herself at 2:00 am as she was watching the full, unedited footage of a collab video that she had made with Jc a little more than a year ago. Tears were now streaming down Jenn's face. A lot can change in just 1 year.
"I saw the way he looked at Lia. I should have said something before it was too late," Jenn mumbled to herself.
Jc Caylen and Lia Marie Johnson were now officially #Jia, and sweet blonde YouTuber Jenn McAllister, otherwise known as jennxpenn, was miserable. All that she had ever wanted these past three years was to make Jc hers. Though Jenn didn't want to admit it to herself, she loved Jc. She had always hoped that Jc felt the same way. Now he was with Lia.
Lia was one of Jenn's good friends. They worked together on the MCN (multi-channel network) Awesomeness TV. Lia was perfectly sweet and likable, but Jenn had secretly felt a raging jealousy towards her. Lia was beautiful, with big brown eyes, long dirty blonde hair and a perfect beach tan. Jenn felt...inferior. Jenn, while pretty, thought of herself as only "one of the guys", because she wasn't really into makeup and hair. She loved fashion, but her clothes were always modest and tomboyish.
Jenn was glad that her roomates Andrea, Arden, and Lauren were asleep, because Jenn just wanted to have a good cry alone.
The only light in Jenn's room was her iMac screen, whuch was showing the footage of Jc and Jenn's video. Jenn watched herself on the screen getting scooped up by Jc, and getting thrown into the pool. Jenn closed her eyes and tried to remember how amazing it felt to be carried in his strong arms. At one point, Jc had jumped into the pool while still holding Jenn. That was Jenn's favorite part, because underwater, she was still holding her.
Jenn set her computer to sleep mode, and then crawled in to bed. She picked up her phone and checked Twitter one more time, and at the top of her feed was a picture that Jc posted of himself and Lia. In the picture, he was kissing Lia's cheek, and Lia was laughing with her eyes closed and a scrunched nose. The picture was disgustingly adorable. The tweet said, "With my fave girl #jia".
Jenn's head was spinning at this point, so she connected her phone to the charger on her bedside table, and rolled over to sleep.
