Naruto Uzumaki as most, well all people in the village he lived in thought of him as a failure. His family thought so as well, they even went as far as to strip him of his Namikaze name. Everyone but his teachers which are The 3d hokage, Danzo, Shishu, and Itachi thinks he is a failure. However no one really knows he is actually smarter than a Nara making him a super genius.
One day when his parents were training his brother, Menma. Naruto ran away to the forest of death. Him being so slim the animals didn't take any interest. He was angry, at his parents for not training him, for stripping him of his name, for paying no attention to him. He ran until he bumped into someone and fell on his butt. He noticed he to got knocked over and quickly helping him up noticing he was a old man. The old man stared down at the kid. He asked what was wrong. Naruto quickly explained his life story and the man introduced himself as Danzo, and he was furious. Why would the 4th hokage abandon his son just because he didn't have the nine tailed fox in him? He took Naruto to the 3d hokage and explained everything.
He to was furious, his two most loyal anbu who were present at this time were also mad. They decided to also help Naruto become the strongest ninja in history.
