Dear Scooby Snack,

Remember last May when we confessed that we liked each other? You asked me a question that we soon forgot about in the circumstances. You asked me "What is your idea of a perfect date?" I never responded but I'm ready to answer now.

On a Tuesday you would walk up to me in the hall and you would call me by my nickname "short stuff" and I would playfully punch your arm. Then, you would tell me that you have an important question to ask me and I would look at you concerned. After giving me a reassuring look you would ask "Do you want to go on a date this Friday?" Inside I would be freaking out and outside I would give you the craziest most embarrassing smile and nod in agreement. Then you would tell me to be ready by six then we would walk to homeroom together. All during the week I would be nervous and try not to make it obvious. I would ask Finx for advice and ask her to come over to help me get ready.

On Friday I would be a complete wreck until Finx knocks some sense into me and I start getting ready. I would put on a casual dress, not too fancy, have my hair curled, and my mascara applied. I would be ready by 5:59 and be freaking out that you would leave me hanging. Then at 6:01 after my mini heart attack the doorbell rings. My dad would let you in and you would exchange awkward greetings. Your eyes would bug out in adoration of me, then we would head out to your dad's truck that you borrowed. You would open the door for me and then start the drive to where you have picked a place for our date.

After 10 minutes of driving in the middle of nowhere you pull onto a dirt road and drive for little before cutting the engine. I would look over at your quirky smile and think how handsome you are. At that exact moment you would say, "Short Stuff you are one hot tamale." We'd laugh before getting out of the truck. In the bed we would sit on a blanket talking/eating as easily as breathing. When we are done you would turn on the radio and we would dance as the world darken around us. As the stars brightened we would lay down and admire them. Randomly, you would pull out a Ring Pop and stand me up while you'd get down on one knee to ask me out. I'd say yes and we'd kiss in the moonlight before you drove me home. I would spend the rest of the night in my own happy bubble thinking about you. You'd send me a goodnight text and I'd smile at it goofily for hours.

I hope that wasn't a bad answer. I love you my Scooby Snack. <3

Much love,

Short Stuff
