Italics: Anti is speaking

Anti hears the slight echo of footsteps right outside his door. Thats all he hears these days. Nothing but the nurses footsteps and the echoes of snippets from conversations between passing staff. It sickens him. Why do they get to be free?

The doctors also dont help either. They say hes sick, maybe he was? All they do is ask pointless questions. How are you feeling today? Tell me why you feel connected to what you do? Why go out of your way to hurt Sean? Hes been trying to escape. His plan can almost be set in action. For five years hes been acting like a good dog. Obedient and patient.

He remembers the last time he was free. The last time that he didn't have to sit and stare at the wall. Now he got covered in bruises, courtesy of the nurses. The doctors of course didnt know as he hid them well. The patients here also didnt like to play nice. When they got the chance, they would bite and scratch each other or the staff. He probably deserved it after putting you and Sean through so much.

All he wanted is to get rid of you, or at least the echo you left. Maybe the image he manifested of you would disappear. It kept him motivated to escape. The apparition also kept him company. A whole personality who told him all his wrongs and disagreed with everything he says. Who wouldnt use that as motivation?

He jumped a little at the banging next to him. Someone was having another episode. Soon after the scratching started. The sharp sounds emitting from the other side hurt his ears. He needed to get out and it needed to happen sooner than later.

Your p.o.v

you walk to your car after the long day of deliveries. Your feet drag behind you as you walk. You get in the car and attach your seatbelt and then you drive home.

You really want to sleep even if you do get nightmares. Your insomnia isnt helping with your job at all. You get home and immediately make yourself a small dinner. Youve eaten quite a bit so you dont feel the need to make something big. You sit down and watch tv while youre eating. The show your watching isnt binge worthy, but it is worth waiting for the next episode to air.

You do your nightly routine after youve eaten and you get into bed. You lie in the dark and your thoughts start to wander. You should probably get stronger sleeping meds.

For the next hour or two you toss and turn until your meds finally kick in. slowly your eyes close. You dont know what nightmare awaits you tonight. Anti is usually the star, but sometimes your nightmares are truly horrific with disfigured bodies and his laugh echoing so loud it makes your eardrums burst. At least tonight you didn't dream at all

I decided to edit this book seeing as my motivation isn't that high and my story came to a standstill. im only changing some aspects for it to align with the ending I have planned.
