*Louise's point of view*
Zoe came over all crying and all bubbling. She told me her n Alfie just broke up! I could hardly believe it, with tears building in my eyes so I hugged her tightly and just then matt appeared down the stairs saying "who's at the door I've just put Darcy to sleep" I kinda moved my head to matt to signal 'some help her?' So he took Zoe into the kitchen and got her drink and toast - just then my phone went, to my surprise it was Alfie - I was a bit worried as I answered the phone
"hello Alfie are you ok" I said quietly so Zoe never heard but loud enough for Alfie
"hi Louise - I assuming you heard" he said in a sad tone
"Yes Alfie I have, are you ok though"
"not really" was his reply
"Where are you now" I said sounding worried
"Just kind of sitting on my bathroom floor"
"Doing what" sounding more worried
"I don't know Louise" I heard through sobs "help me"
"Alfie I- "
"Louise please ..., I wouldn't ask you it it wasn't important" Alfie cut me off
"But Alfie!"
"I get it Zoe's there make up an excuse, I really need help"
I hung up abruptly and shouted through to Zoe and Matt "I'll be back soon I'm just nipping to the store"
Matt had appeared " Lou, you can't leave me alone with Zoe, I don't know what to do!?" He said sounding a little scared
"Matt, Alfie needs my help and Zoe is much easier to look after than a 3 year old little girl"
With a sigh he answered "ok Lou, see you soon "
I left quickly and jumped in my car.
