Chapter 9
Mackenzie’s POV
Looking at Ally from the rear view mirror as I turned off the engine of the car, I could see that she was in her own world, unconsciously drawing circles on the back of her hand.
I could look at her all day, she was that amazing but she was my best friend and I couldn’t just do that.

I towered over the girls as we walked to Ally’s locker to get her books. Ally and Jessie where talking about what they watched on TV yesterday, alternating between Glee, Teen Wolf and the Walking Dead, Jake and I joining in where we could.
We stop at Ally’s locker and then all of a sudden she stops mid-sentence, turns and pointedly stares at something or someone. Her ocean blue eyes rippled with unshed tears and rage. The rest of us turn in the direction she was staring at and realize why she seems so furious. There he stands, Johnny, leaning on the lockers with his arm above her head, Faye Kelis, I think her name was. Their faces were inches apart, like he was about to kiss her. He was smirking, like he had achieved something big. She had her books wedged in between her folded hands and her average chest.
Ally, who obviously could not take it anymore, turn hurriedly on her heel and ran out the double doors we had just entered from. I could see Jake ready to follow her out the door, so I tried to do just that but was unsuccessful due to Jessie’s hand on my arm, holding me back.
“Let him go. He’s probably feeling the same way so he can comfort her better.” She said, trying to reason with me.
I knew that she was right but I was still jealous, annoyed and angry that Jake had taken my place as her comforter. I had always been the one to wipe her tears, but Jessie was right, he probably did feel the same way she did. To let out my anger, I decided to let it out on the cause of it.
“John!” I shouted, walking up to him “Didn’t you just break up with Ally a few days ago?”
“Yea, so what?” he replied nonchalantly, still looking at Faye.
Grabbing him by his collars and pushing him up against the lockers with my left arm, I say to him sternly, “Didn’t you just break up with her, meaning you hurt my best friend! You bastard, you hurt her!”
“I’m sorry, actually, I’m not. She’s frigid.”
Pulling my arm back to punch him, I stare coldly into his eyes, “Repeat that”, I say daring him to let me punch him.
“Frigid”
“Mac, don’t!” I hear Jessie say, sounding like a voice in the back of my head.
I pull my arm back even further, readying myself to punch him. I throw my fist towards his face.
He doesn’t deserve your energy,I hear Ally’s voice say in the back of my mind. Listening to her, I redirect my fist and punch the wall inches away from his face.
Dropping him to the ground, I quietly and coldly say, “You see all these people here, watching, waiting for something to happen, they’ll get a real show if u come near her ever again”.
Jessie picks up my hand as I turn. Examining my knuckles, she says to me “Oh Mac, you need to get to get an ice pack”
“Later after I see Lee”, I reply calling Ally by her pet name, knowing it would calm me down slightly.
“Okay, but an ice pack after”

“Ally!!!” Jessie runs in, screaming her name, “oh baby, are you okay?” she says hugging her then sitting on the other side of her. “I always hated him, the bastard. He never deserved you”
“I feel better now that I’ve had a good cry”
“I can see that”, I say, crouching in front of her and brushing a few stray tears from her cheeks. I take that time to really take her in; she’s as beautiful as usual, I can see the dried tear streaks running down her face and her eyes glisten from the sunlight coming off the fresh tears.
“I told you, I should’ve taught him a lesson”, I continue, smiling brightly at her, trying to lift her mood.
Laughing slightly, she replies “And I told you he doesn’t deserve your energy”
“And he doesn’t deserve your tears”, all three of us say simultaneously.
She looks down at her lap, where her fingers lay and start to play with them, a sure sign that she is embarrassed as her cheeks take on a slight pinkish tint.
“Let’s skip school today, go back to your place and chill with pizza, popcorn and movies. You know you’ve got the best movie collection. How’s that sound, Lee Lee?” Jessie suggests trying to make Ally feel better by using her nickname.
“That sounds great Ming Ming” Ally replies giving Jessie a side hug and using her nickname as well.
They both stand up and start walking off, chatting about what movies we should watch.
Jake stands up after them and begins to walk away but I stop him by putting my hand on his shoulder, also implying that I wanted to talk. He turns to me, looking at me square in the eye.
“Thanks for, you know, comforting her”
“Anytime, it was my pleasure” he says, smirking. He begins to leave.
“Wait, I’m not done.” I interrupt his exit, “ I can see it in your eyes that your seeing the true her now. I love her but I’m her best friend so can’t hold her back from relationships but I can talk to you and influence you, so I’m gonna say this once and only once. Hurt her and I hurt you, don’t lead her on, don’t promise her things you know you can’t do and most importantly, don’t, under any circumstances, play with her feelings or else, you’re dead meat.”
“Dude chill, I don’t intend on hurting her”
“That’s what John said”
“Well unlike him I mean it. She’s beautiful, you know that and so do I.”
“I guess we have a deal then,” I say, pushing my hand out to him for handshake. He takes it, sealing the deal.
As we walk together, he begins to speak again, “Dude, if your so in love with her, why don’t you go for it?”
“It’s a long story” I reply, trying to catch up with the girls.

Authors Note
Did anyone expect the other POV to be Mac's? I actually like this chapter and I tried to make it longer and more detailed. Did i hit the mark?Johnny's such a douche isnt he?
I want to add a little romance in the next chapter, what do you think should happen? I'll choose and dedicate the chapter to whoever gives a really good suggestion.
The chapter's may be a bit farther apart from now cuz schools started and I've got a lot to do. Oh, and thank you to whoever voted for me.
COMMENT, FAN, VOTE. Thanks <3
