One Month Later

Olivia and Elliot didn't miss a day of work, and by the end of the month, they had pooled together $1,000. They couldn't decide if they wanted to just head to Denver or try to go even further.

"Where to next, boss?" Elliot asked, as he laid beside Olivia and ran his hand over her waist. She shifted the sheet up a bit more to cover her chest, before looking at him and shrugged.

"Maybe just Denver... we could settle down there and kinda just disappear. Would you be okay with that?" Olivia asked, and Elliot nodded with a small smile.

"I'd be okay with that. I want to eventually get a place, settle down."

"We are only 16, El. We can't settle down for a while. I did hear about being able to get a doublewide trailer if we could afford it." Olivia breathed.

"Don't you wonder what I mean about settling down together?" Elliot asked, and Olivia shrugged.

"A little bit, but I'm tired because of... well you know what we just did." Olivia smiled. She kissed his chest gently, before nestling her head under his chin.

"I want to really be together... I know we are just kids but I think that we can be really good together. Get married and have a few kids eventually."

"Like in 10 years." She laughed, but when she moved a bit to look into his icy blue eyes, he didn't seem like 10 years in the future was when he wanted to start having kids.

"El?" She questioned.

"We should head to the station and see if we can make it out on a train tonight."

"Oh, okay. Uh, I love you." Olivia spoke, and Elliot leaned down and pressed his lips against hers before mumbling.

"I love you too."

Olivia and Elliot got out on a late train and the tickets were a little less pricey. They sat side by side again, but this time they knew they were safe. They were safe as long as Olivia sent the gift card back within the next 6 months.

Olivia was tried but she was having a hard time sleeping because of what she and Elliot talked about. Elliot was the same way. He didn't want to tell Olivia that he didn't want to wait that long to have kids. He did know that he wanted to be with her and have a family with her, but he wanted to wait a few years then try.

"We'd need a house, a car, and good income." Olivia breathed, as she looked over at Elliot.

"What?" Elliot mused.

"If you wanted kids... I know that we can't be like our parents." Olivia spoke, and Elliot blushed a bit from hearing her talk about kids. Kids that they would have together in the future because they know they wanted to be together and hopefully, forever.

"It's just a weird thing to think about, Liv. That we are together and going to the place we want to call our home. I was just thinking about how I wanted something. Something special and something different."

"Are you getting soft on me, El?" Olivia asked as she tried to act all tough like when they first ran away, but she couldn't even act like that anymore.

"We should have a plan, and we have a two-day train ride to plan that out."

Both wanted to go to college, but neither knew if that could be in their future. But they did know that they wanted to get married, have kids, and get a house. Those were the main points they wanted to think about and work towards. Olivia didn't want to live in a house on wheels, because she did when she was much younger and wanted to have something more stable for her and Elliot to live in. She was willing to start in a doublewide, but she didn't want to end in one.

"Welcome to Denver." Elliot yawned, as he pointed out the window and at a raging thunderstorm.

"We need to find a place to get affordable housing as quickly as possible."

"Yeah, I'll start googling places then," Elliot spoke.

Once the train came to a stop, everyone waited a few minutes before finally getting off. Olivia put her beanie on and Elliot held Olivia's purse over his head, but their hands were held together and their fingers intertwined.

They eventually made it into the station and they settled down for a few minutes and Elliot continued to look up different places where they could possibly get a place to stay today, hopefully within the next few hours.

"There is a trailer park about 20 minutes north of here. They say that there are different trailers for sale, all are considered in good condition." Elliot smiled, and Olivia grinned before leaning over and kissing his cheek gently.

"Wanna try and walk or get a cab?"

"We should get a cab. You need new shoes before we go for a long walk." Elliot spoke, and Olivia was about to fight him on that, but then he lifted her leg up and pointed at the high tops that were duct-taped together.

"Okay, you are right. Let's get going."

Olivia and Elliot each had a fake ID so it made sense that they got a trailer and easily found jobs near the trailer park in the first month they lived in Denver. Olivia and Elliot managed to find a place that needed two workers, and each got a position. They could work together and they could walk home together.

Olivia sent Detective Biggs his gift card back, with a note saying that they were really good, and she wasn't just sending it back to get him to calm down and drop the threat.

They were really happy, and it wasn't just an act. The two formerly abused teenagers were not only happy, healthy but also madly in love with each other. They never thought that they'd be able to find someone who understood themselves so much, but Olivia and Elliot were a perfect match, and they knew it. Neither of them was going to risk what they had by fighting and not talking, they were going to do everything in their power to stay together.
