Bailey's POV

"What does she need to tell me?" I asked shakily.

"I don't know. But our flight is tomorrow morning." Josh replied.

My jaw slightly dropped. I was still stuck on the fact that my own father wouldn't let my brother tell me that my mother was dying.

"Will you come?" He asked one more time.

I slowly nodded, looking down at my fingers. I felt his arms pull me into a hug.

"It's gonna be okay." He whispered.

"I know I'm just...confused."

"I am too, Bailey." He breathed out.

My phone started ringing and I looked over at it to see Harry was calling.

"Ooh, who's Harry?" He said teasingly.

I shot him a glare and answered it.

"Hello?"

"Is everything going okay?" He said nervously.

"Yeah, why?"

He breathed a sigh of relief and said, "I just wanted to make sure. Since your brother was um...and..."

"Harry, I'm fine."

"Okay."

"But, I will be flying to America tomorrow morning. Don't miss me too much."

He snorted, "Yeah like that would happen."

"I have a feeling that you will."

"Maybe."

I chuckled a bit then said, "Bye Harry."

"Bye, Bailey." He said cheerfully.

I sighed as I hung up the phone. "So who is Harry?" Josh pushed on.

"He's just a friend." I gave him a small glare.

"Really? Why?" He said.

"Why not?" I asked.

"I don't know. He sounds like your type."

"You didn't meet him, see him, or hear him. What's that supposed to mean?" I asked.

"I don't know. Your conversation. You were obviously flirting with him."

"I don't flirt. I'm done with guys." I said firmly.

"What? Why? Are you lesbian now?" He asked.

I groaned, "No! Everyone keeps saying that! I'm just done with guys. They've broken my heart too many times." I explained shortly.

"Oh..." He said, dragging it out.

"Yeah. Here, you can crash at my place tonight so we can leave early tomorrow." I said, standing up.

"Okay." He said.

We walked to my flat and I let us in. "Nice place." He said, looking around.

I let out a breathy laugh, "Yeah, okay."

I woke up the next morning to Josh shaking me. I grumbled and turned over, my head burying itself in my pillow.

"Bailey we have to get to the airport." Josh sighed. I also sighed, sitting up and rubbing my eyes. We left soon after that, and I was not happy that I wasn't fed any breakfast.

"We will get food on the plane or something. We are late." Josh said.

"Ew." My grumpy morning self said.

We drove in silence and I couldn't help but wonder what my mom was wanting to tell me. My thoughts continued on the plane, and on the ride to my old home.

I recognized the car in the driveway.

My father is home.
